**** sake, what is it with us when we go behind? And why do we always play good in one half and awful in the other?
I don't want to sound like a WUM but I just watched your game (my first since Liverpool last played you) and you seemed quite poor. Is Laudrup taking you backwards or was this a blip against a good Everton side?
We are going backwards. I created a thread titled this a while back. We look like a side that no longer feels comfortable with the ball, and Laudrup persists with playing players like JDG and Pablo when quite simply they are not good enough. I would give my left ball to bring back Joe Allen so we could get rid of Jonathan De Useless.
Yet again posters start slagging off their favourite pantomime villains. Can someone tell me why they think JDG was worse than anyone else? No - you can't. This was a very decent Everton team that has lost just one game this season and that was against Man City away I believe. We did OK and created a fair bit. Howard saved them at the end or we'd have got something from the game. For me the only players I would come close to having a go at: Tremmel: Two good strikes but both very savable. I thought so at the time and I've just watched them on the box now and Vorm would have saved both imo. Very poor keeping. Vasquez: I've seen more than enough. Please send him back to his parent club now. Donnelly would have scored that chance at the end and he deserves his chance. So a loss that could have been avoided but no shame in losing to a Club that looks top four to me. Play like that against mid-table sides and we'd win comfortably.
He's taken us backwards, that much is obvious! But we'll move on in the summer with a new manager.......................
Every time he lost the ball today he had no interest in tracking back trying to win the ball. Considering he is also supposed to be our creative player, he again created nothing. Pablo again had another piss poor game. These two show no commitment or desire to win. Very average players that I hope leave at the end of the season.
Just had a look at the games we have coming up. The way we are playing, by the time we play Fulham on the 28th of Jan, we could be in the relegation zone
Are we winning 'The clueless in front of goal league'?................................. Hell I've seen better intent from Swansea league football, than the shower we have up front!.................
Keep calm, girls. Dai's glass is always half empty. JDG had a decent game. He defended quite well too. Only on one occasion did he lose the ball and failed to track back but you've picked up on that. Hernandez was busy all afternoon and kept trying and trying until the final whistle. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. You have to give credit to Everton who pressed us all game and defended well. As I've said, slagging off your favourite pantomine villains is always predictable after a loss but our fans need to see the bigger picture. Both goals that we conceded were avoidable. I don't hear anyone criticising Ben Davies who made a completely unnecessary challenge for the free kick. Nobody criticises him because it's easier to zero on the players you don't like - even if they did little wrong. The real villains today were Tremmel who was woeful today and Vasquez who makes Schechter look like Messi.
