I don't know how anyone in a team sport "justifies" their price-tag, or at least I can't see how you can work out how to tell if they have justified it. Gate money? Shirt Sales? League position? All very subjective. You are getting into some serious Moneyball type stats if you want to try to prove it, and even then most people on here would just dismiss it with a "Stats don't mean ****" type comment. The one thing I think that is very probably irrelevant, is who or how good our striker is.
