Here's the latest on the Rabia to Hull story: http://www.kingfut.com/2013/12/21/al-ahly-reject-hull-citys-trial-offer-rabia/ It seems they want a direct loan or transfer. No trials.
Cheers for this. Looks like this lad may have a future in the game. Reading this and other articles you have posted I get the impression that the commercial relationship between the two clubs is not that strong. Any thoughts on this apthh?
Would be a good signing at the right price, if the work permit issue can be resolved. I think Al Ahly just want to push for money, hence not accepting a loan move.
After the way we've ****ed around with other Al Ahly players, I'll be surprised if they entertain any deals with us at all.
It would seem the agent has more influence than the club itself. The club didn't originally want to loan Gedo back, but the agent seemed to square things within a few hours of the transfer window closing.
What a waste it has been though Fathi last season and Gedo this. I thought Gedo warranted more minutes on the pitch than he has done.
The strange thing with Gedo last year (before his injury) was that Bruce was saying that Gedo didn't seem to show a lot in training but seemed to up his performance when on the pitch. Fortunately for Gedo, we were even more desperate last season for a goalscorer so Gedo got his chance.
