Merry Christmas one and all It started well enough, One point at our first port of call Should leave us fairly chuffed Six points clear of eighteenth spot Before the halfway stage, And nineteen in all, in the pot As we turn one more page 0 - 0 was an okay scoreline Away from home to boot, And leaves us all with a clear sign There´s more yet, we can loot Not pretty but one more clean sheet Mattered more on the day, And having Wolfkin on the beat Again, should help our play No thanks to Wes Brown though, who tried His best to change all that, Fortunately his reckless slide Didn´t leave him lying flat A draw too, probably was fair With clear cut chances few, First half was clearly ours up there Without making them stew After the break we fumbled more Giving the Cats some hope, But one point for them is still poor When viewed through a microscope. Rick - unbeaten in three, with one defeat in five (and everyone´s losing to Liverpool at the moment) so bring on Fulham and Man U. I say
Whilst we are all relieved at being unbeaten in 3, we do need to start picking up wins in our next few games, as we can't keep relying on teams below us losing.
A point away from home is always good JR, especially against a side fighting for their lives, I´m confident that the longer we stay unbeaten the more likely it is we´ll start winning too. Far too soon to start ringing the alarm bells.
On ´Player´ it certainly sounded as if we had far the better of it, and with a bit more luck (precision) we would have nabbed the win.
Yep the longer our unbeaten run goes hopefully the more confident we will get and start winning more. Oh and hope you all have a great Christmas holidays
Just had a look at the current table and there appears 3 mini leagues. Positions 1-9, 36 to 24 points. Positions 10-16, 21 to 16 points. Positions 17-20, 14 to 10 points. We find ourselves midway in the 2nd mini league and in not too bad a position I know there is a small matter of the Arsenal v Chelsea game tomorrow evening, but it's not going to have a major change on league positions or points.
Just for once you took the words right out of my mouth, carrabuh, I think it´s particularly true this year where the very bottom seem very weak to me, we just need to keep our nose in front all the time.
Happy Christmas to you too RBF - thanks for all the work you put in keeping the CPL's going and for your poetry throughout the season.
Happy Christmas to all. Here's to 3 points at home to Fulham and a better performance against Man'ure
Hoping for a jolly one, it certainly will be if we get 3 points in the bag vs Fulham! Merry Christmas, one and all!
