Not seen the highlights yet (or the lowlights) but anyone who says Barton lost us the game today is an idiot.

Whether the cards were justified or not, everyone needs to put in a shift to take something from these kind of games, and by the sound of it we didn't do enough today all over the park.

I seen all the replays at the time. I was watching it on Sky. None of them were pens. Yes the bloke put a bit of a shoulder back and Benayoun copped one on the chin but it wasn't enough to warrant a penalty. The player was just using his experience by shielding the ball in that manner. If Dunne had've done it you wouldn't be calling it a pen mate!

I don't know what Villa and Chelsea have to do with it RTID. If a ref fu*ked up in that game it doesn't mean the ref today should do so an' all.

Just a point about consistency - or lack of it.

Just seen the highlights and the another yellow was a bit soft one. Having said that and ,i did watch only the first half , i must admit that joey was beggin for it with his behaviour towards the ref. If any other player had done that what joey did they would have never got another yellow. That is the thing Joey must remember next time. Im sure he come back better and stronger than today. From the match i have to say that leicester done their homework perfectly and Pearson beats arry clearly with his tactics. They need a fair bit of luck with it but thats not unusual when you get a great away victory against your greatest rival and favourite on their own turf. Fair to say that leicester played almost perfect away match. Hope you all Barton haters enjoy your christmas and repeat after repeat : "What did i said about him. ,What did i say about him????" Leopard never lost its spots. The mask has slipped off and all that";)

I watched this guy toward the end of the Charlton game, he was lucky not to be sent off then.
He's got issues, we knew he had issues and there will be more similar incidents.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a Barton fan and was disgusted with his behaviour against City, but...

Should some of the blame not fall on Redknapp and Bond, at the end of the day they are there to manage the team, if there are players with injuries or fatigue during the match, they make a change. If you see a player whose attitude is not helping himself or the team, is it not down to the manager to make a change before he gets Red carded.

They still had a sub they could have used, like in any job or organisation you get to know your staff and their strengths and weaknesses, thats why they are called managers...

They would of both been penalties in the Prem. Especially if it was Utd at OT. As would the Phillips one. When you take into consideration the manner of Derry's sending off at OT, then all three of these by that comparison are nailed on.

I agree. That's a very good observation LL. I thought this at half time too. I even turned and said to my wife and my mate Steve and said that Barton's trying to get himself sent off. He's got too much to say to the ref. He doesn't want to play on Boxing Day. Then he went and got his reward.

The referee wasn't to blame for the 'penalty' claims. Desperate.

You had the chances to get something out of the game. The referee is not the reason you lost.

We had an even number of CLEAR goalscoring attempts (not pot shots from 25 yards that'll never come close to worrying Schmeichel) but we scored and you didn't.

It's football. We should have beaten Burnley last week.

We had the perfect away performance. We managed to soak up the pressure and hit you on the break. They were always going to be the tactics.

IMO. You need a defensive midfielder (don't think you've replaced Derry) and someone like Adam Le Fondre who can come on with 20 minutes to go and, if he gets the chance, score.

I wouldn't get too down about it. You've got the money and a manager idiotic enough to throw it about in January. FFP must surely worry you all?

I've been to the game, gone out and had a nice evening with friends and had a look on here before hitting the sack only to find that a Leicester fan has come onto our board and wrecked havoc. You are so ungracious in your victory that you feel that it's OK to spend all day on here and wum. You have opted to abuse some of our more respected posters by calling them 'Mongs,' ****s,' and 'Morons.' As well as using a plethora of other colourful language.
I find this completely unacceptable especially coming from a fellow Mod. To come on here and act in this manner is impermissible, and for that reason I will be seeking a ban for you from our board.

We can accept defeat, it's football, it happens. You are welcome to come on here and debate the game with a degree of banter. But to carry yourself in the way that you have decided is quite shameful. I will not tolerate abuse towards our posters especially from someone in your position. I find that your posts are too incorrigible and lack class and tact.

The best team we've played this season and I cannot see anyone finishing above you.

Clearly no penalties when watched again but I too would have been shouting for them in real time, well done referee.

Over-ruled linesman correctly for corner but missed the other that came off Hill so stop bleating.

Barton let himself down, thought he had good game until sending off.

We have played a lot better this season and lost, today went our way.

**** me they really have gone soft down south.

I have not come on here to wind anyone up. Only to speak my mind and respond to QPR fans who have seen the game in a different light to myself. I say this to everyone

If you think i've overstepped the mark with a few swear words then i'd like to point out the swear filter that has been in place on these boards for over a year now. But you're a moderator. Obviously you know that.

Not sure why I get special treatment for being a moderator <doh> I'm still just a poster on the forums and I don't feel i've posted anything worthy of a ban ffs <laugh> (please, if it's got you too worked up continue this discussion over PM).

I can only think of one post that is a bit OTT. I called Grifter (he should change it to Grafter) a **** because he's been attempting to rise my fellow City fans all week with his inane drivel. He then posted a heap of bitter ****e because he couldn't take the loss (he still hasn't reared his face on our board).

I've only spoken my mind. Which happened to clash with the opinions of some pissed off Rangers fans looking for excuses. I feel we were well deserved of winning the game and I discussed my opinions with the fans of the opposition. This is the point of a multi-club forum. You know that.

I suggest you sleep on it and rethink your idea. Although the hangover might prevent it <laugh> <ok> <cheers>

As one poster to another though, be careful. Language like that gets you in trouble <ok>

I refuse to get involved with a slanging match with you Adam.

If QPR posters have been on your board winding you up that's not my problem. If any QPR fans have been within your proximity you should have dealt with them. What you purport is beyond my jurisdiction. I can only react to what I see on here. I do not go on your board, so I am not privy to what goes on there.

You took it upon yourself to come on our board and post in such a manner that you knew full well that the fans of that board, after suffering a defeat at home to a rival, carried themselves very respectfully considering the circumstances. Yet you prompted and probed in order to garner a reaction. When this reaction didn't materialise you resulted to insults and wumming. I have nothing but praise for our posters that they contained themselves as well as they did considering your wumming and baiting.

As for the 'have they really gone soft down south.' (sic) comment, that is a cliche that is neither here nor there. We have many QPR fan's that live on the same platitude and further north than you do. We are all composed of the same genetic make-up, so this renders the human being more or less the same. We are all susceptible to the same physical thresholds. This therefore renders your comment as redundant.

You knew exactly what you were doing and attempted to do, and you felt that you succeeded. Congratulations on your win. But in being such a bad winner has been your undoing.

<applause> the guy has no class. Shame because a lot of the other Leicester fans that posted on here were quite gracious.
