Unlike you, i don't worship at the altar of Wenger, so i take his comments with a pinch of salt (actually, it's Wenger, so more like a bucket of salt).
Barring the meaningless recent cup game, the majority of those fixtures have taken place at SB. That does have some bearing on Wenger's poor record against Mourinho.
To be honest, Mourinho clearly had Wenger's number in the past. Although both teams have changed, Wenger still heavily relies on his team to play well rather than change tactic to suit the occasion. One thing that is clear, Mourinho is the better of the two regarding tactics and he isn't scared to change things when things aren't going well. Will Wenger change things if things aren't going according to plan? For me, it will be in some ways, Wenger v Mourinho come this Monday and if we don't play well enough, Chelsea will punish us severely.
We beat Chelsea 3-5 a couple of seasons ago at the Bridge and 3-1 at home the season before that. So the Mourinho v Wenger equation misses the fact that we've beaten them home and away in the last couple of years.
