Cagliari's club president Massimo Cellino has said he will allow Davide Astori and Radja Nainggolan to leave the club.

Nainggolan would still be a good fit. Astori I see no point in.

Bigger clubs than us will be after them. I imagine they both want to play in the Champions League.

Different situation really, he wanted to come and play in the Premier League and none of the big boys would risk the transfer fee. Astori and Nianggolan already play in a top European league and have established solid reputations for themselves.

We don't really need Naingglon, we already have enough defensive midfielders.

Actually yes. He's not as good but he's happy being a squad player. Fonte and Lovren don't need breaking up, and Astori will want to be a regular wherever he goes.

If any of our CBs need replacing it's Yoshida anyway, but I'd rather it was someone who wouldn't demand a regular place and an 8 figure fee.

He can play AMC and wide also. Hard working, creative and good at the pressing.

I would like them both, of course, but Astori being a CB makes more sense to me than Nainggolan. Like Beefy has said, we already have enough CM/CDM's and he would be unlikely to replace Lallana/Rodriguez in a more attacking role.

I agree, I think the squad we have now is the one we will go with for the next few seasons. It's a good mix of young players and experienced players that have a play style they're comfortable with. The partnerships that have developed this season certainly don't need breaking up.

I think if we brought a cb in it will be some one to replace Fonte. Fonte would move down to a squad player with Yoshida to leave.

I doubt that very much, Saints will want to improve every season. We can't just improve by bringing in youth, we have to bring better players in as well.

Can't see it, we only really need another winger. Others than that, who do you replace? Fonte has been outstanding all season.

Fonte has been great but we can still get a better defender. Gone are the days were Saints just stand still and not improve in all areas. Look at last season we had Morgan and Cork doing brilliant yet we still brought Wanyama.

GK,CB and Winger/Play maker for me.
