I'm surprised that your mods have let him get away with that, if he'd have said the N word they'd have banned him...
Completely missed the game today but take a point for sure Shame another injury but 2 back from it I Think fulham will be tough on boxing day, although they lost today they went down fighting I was at the madejski today for reading v Wigan. Alas no holty, he was an unused sub Barnett played well though. Nick Powell looks a good player!
Meant to say earlier, how good was Michael turner a few crunching tackles when needed and a superb block in the second half. Threw himself in front of everything
Always funny when an opposition fan comes on here giving it large. This one wasnt as hilarious as the swansea fan from last week that didnt attend the game but made out he did after watching it on a dodgy website.
I thought it was a reasonable performance overall. City had the better chances but Hooper and Fer weren't at their most clinical today. Thought we missed Howson's passing and it was yet another adjustment due to injury. Good to see Snods back, though he seemed to fade in the second half (not surprisingly). RvW looked sharp and hungry after his lay-off. 3 matches unbeaten is a nice change, especially as two of those were away. Six points above 18th looks good, as does even on points with Villa and we moved up a point on 5 other teams in the bottom half. That'll do.
Just looked at the Sunderland forum and I find it all a bit too funny, I didn't realise just how deluded they all are lol.
Yeah they're a little tetchy aren't they, it quite an amusing thread, lots of angry people who were at the game venting and then slowly having to admit that they probably didm't have a real penalty shout once they'd seen replays. Wonder if they will let Dave get out unscathed.
Monty has a bit of an identity crisis - he's of a black and white persuasion and likes to pretend that SAFC's opponents are that thick that they would be fooled into thinking that he speaks for SAFC fans on this forum - luckily most of "us" realise this
Have they called for a ransom for Dave yet? lol. It's all probably just frustrating and the worries of being bottom of the league, so I understand them being a bit tetchy. I didn't see the ref making too many wrong calls, that's not me being biased, if I thought he got them wrong I would say it.
I thought he refereed like it was ten years ago - he let a lot of potential yellow cards go, for both teams, but particularly for Sunderland in the first half. It kept the game flowing, but did mean players pushed it towards the end, and all the cards that were finally given were thoroughly deserved. The red was presumably given on three fronts: 1) Two footed (trailing leg swinging in) 2) Front leg off the ground 3) Out of control Each of these individually merits a red card, irrespective of whether the ball is won - I think Daniel Ayala gave a penalty away for us and got red carded for something similar where he got the ball, but it was a solid red because it was reckless.
Good draw for your boys. My gut feel is you will be safe. My ones for the drop are: SAFC Cardiff Palace
