Is there any referee's you guys like . Only opinions I've heard were Phil Thompson and the usually pro North East Jeff Stelling who both said it was a red.
From what I've seen of the decisions (I didn't see them live but have since caught footage) none of them were shockers by the ref and the reviews I've seen of the game say they were either probably correct or understandable. The issue was not being able to finish off a game you could have won for the second week running. When you win you care a lot less about shockers. You've had a few this season (Arsenal being a prime example) and certainly overall the rub of the green has not been in your favour but today the game was nil-nil all over it from what I caught.
Just Atkinson, Lee Mason & Marriner I was a sending off in my eyes but Atkinson give Norwich everything. you need to watch the whole game to understand how bad he was.
Fair point there NFWG about watching the whole game to understand the refereeing. I haven't so don't know about this game (was focusing on the Newcastle game ofc) but the little decisions are what get the crowd onto a referee and a sending off in the dying seconds has little bearing compared to a litany of minor errors throughout a game. It's too easy to point at a single decision but there's plenty of times I've got riled at a ref for just constantly letting one team get away with niggly challenges and not the other or giving throw-ins the wrong way.
Norwich were doing niggly challenges, wasting time & that ****ing Snodgrass is a ****ing diving prick. the result was fair & the sending off was but the rest was a joke.
To be honest, you won't find many of us defending Snodgrass' actions today, he does tend to go down a little easily.
You haven't even seen it if you think he didn't get the ball. His very first contact was with the ball 100%
i can't see how sunderland can stay in the premiership this season if they don't start putting a string of results together soon..Is it the managers fault or just bad luck..
We have put a string of results together and have just gained another point on some of our rivals. Some you win, some you lose, some you draw ......... you get the idea
Got agree with a few posters on here, you had to see full game to understand our frustrations with the referee. Most decisions went norwich's way. Bassongs was not a penalty, cattamole getting taken out seen them given, browns red card I think should probably just been a yellow but two decisions that got me were Larsons yellow and there was an instance when fletcher won a header fair and square which put us 2v1 and he blew for a foul
If you are a Norwich supporter how the hell could you watch the match if you re on the computer at 6.23 ?, i WAS there mate and just like the Spurs and Chelsea appeals we got nothing. The game is being fixed and against us FACT, and come the close season someone will cop it.
I think lads that instead of constantly blaming the refs for their poor decisions, we have to take a long hard look at how bloody piss poor we are as a team as well. We looked clueless out there today and we occupy last place in the league because we are a **** team. Gus looked mad as hell in his interview after the game and extremely frustrated with the players and he knows they are just not good enough. We have very little talent and ability and lots of similar ability huffers and puffers. Unless that changes this month and 2 or 3 new faces are brought in to play in the 1st team, we are looking a bit lost. Refs are only a small part of the reason we are bottom at Christmas. The main reason is we just cant hack it with the squad we have.
