Would love to have confidence in our defence enough for us to park the bus, but I think we're more likely to score a 2nd than be able to hold out for 80 minutes parking the bus ha
Header from Lee goes across the goal, Alnwick doesn't deal with it but Wood is there to head it off the line.
Sorry, my internet connection was down for a while. Full time 1-1 A point is better than none of course, but it's another game without a win. On to Brighton for Boxing Day. Look forward to hearing from those who were there.
Good away point but insane to take off two attackers and bring on two defenders. Lucky to get away with that.
mmmmm, good result on paper. But a win would have been huge. Deon burton bags a brace elsewhere, and Benson, Mcleod scored too.... Unrelated, just like checking how the ancestors go at times. Lol - and Leon Clarke somehow scored for coventry. Not to mention Andy Gray
Decent point I agree with the substitutions better to settle for 1 point there than go for 3 and lose in our position . Well done CP anyone or is that to much to ask
Yup well done to Chris Powell for me... The main eleven is slowly getting fit... Only Hamer and Cort to come back (Jacko of course suspension) - Would have ripped both arms out of peoples sockets had I been offered a draw at a ground we've not won at since 2002 (and a side with Premier League players still) Substitutions may look negative but when we're playing with 33% possession it was obvious that Bolton looked more likely to score so we needed to tighten up at the back... Of course had it been the other way around and we'd had over 60% possession then I'd definitely agree with the negative view on them but we didnt lol!
Quick thoughts: Glad I got away from the weather I've read all about on Facebook. 4-4-2 was a surprise, but one that was welcome. First half we actually looked threatening, though clear cut chances weren't as clear as the CAFC twitter made out (recently has been horribly biased IMO). The second half we kept shape but not possession. On another day we would have lost, but when you get a point (or 3) you look back and say the players did their job well. They need to show that level if effort every week - cousins and Stephens once again probably the most impressive pair. Wood looked a bit off the pace, though I think Morro benefits having a more senior head next to him. Solly settled in nicely but didn't have many chances to get forward. Though I think today wiggins and Stewart were far better down the left. Crowd - twitter says 300 odd, which is generally the average we take to these games. Decent voice - lots of grumbles when Stewart went off, but it wasn't clear if it was tactical or injury. Twitter suggests it was the latter. Last note - mcnaughton, their goal scorer is one dirty so and so. As much as I hate him, we do lack that sort of character.
