And I really cannot stand Johnson at the moment - he isn;t offering anything at the moment. Poor decisions, giving away possession etc. Worst player this season.

  2. So, if a player randomly catches the ball mid-flow, you wouldn't expect him to be booked? It doesn't matter where or how it happens.

Anyway, he didn't get caught so it doesn't matter.

Joe Allen won the ball back more than any other player for us today, 5 tackles (second was Henderson with 3) and 2 interceptions (joint highest with 3 others). His pass percentage was uncharacteristically low though at 83%

  4. People are finally starting to notice Skrtel's tactics. I've only been banging on about it for about two years <doh>

Depends, if it's in the middle of the pitch then yes. If like today it's when he thinks the ball is off the pitch when it's already going for a GK and he carries it off the pitch anyway then no, common sense would prevail.

You tend to see yellow cards if you gain an obvious advantage (scoring a goal, stopping a through ball) not for things like that.

Indifferent performance form him - I thought he was excellent defensively but poor going forward. Bit sloppy but was still good nonetheless.

Still a concern how seem to lose control once we're under a bit of pressure. It's almost as if we need to score early in each half to maintain a performance.

Every one knew about Skrtel's 'tactics', we just tend to look at him as a whole instead of having an agenda. <whistle>

Don't mind him having a lower passing rate if he's trying to pass the ball forward more and take more risks. Rather have 80% and successful forward passes then 90% sidewards passes <ok>

Shocking isn't it... nice to see you back by the way <ok>

  11. I agree about the common sense bit and I think that is why it was ignored.

I think after they scored we were hesitant to commit as many men forward, and credit to Cardiff they were really up for it after the goal.

And that's another thing - one sloppy goal and Cardiff are back in it. Similar things will happen again but the scoreline will be a lot closer. Frustrating and I hope Rodgers can sort the defending out.

RE the defending from set pieces; we still have no leader at the back. Guaranteed that if Cara or Hyypia were in there, no Cardiff man would be unmarked. Sakho isn't old enough to organise the back 4 and Skrtle has never had to do it. Which is why Toure and Sakho should be playing.

Ok - time for me to stop looking at the negatives. Some of our attacking play was astonishing at times and it's great to see Sterling and Allen play with more confidence.

Henderson continues to impress in every sense. I thought he was limited technically but he plays some great passes and I hope he can continue to improve.

Another 3 points and I believe that is 4 straight wins - hopefully we can nick something from both Chelsea and City <ok>

Maybe Rodgers told them to back off second half in the hope that it might keep his mate in a job.

    No I don't think so.

They just picked up and we slacked off.

Yeah fair enough - saving legs for the big matches. Would have expected Alberto or Aspas to come on in that case.
