    Best 7 - Best striker at the club(no pun).
    Lovenkrands 5 - Past it but can still do a job(probably his last season).
    Shola 4 - Him & Lovenkrands are Championship quality but Shola is a useful back-up/cover because of his experience & he plays the ''target man'' role OK & of course his goalscoring abilities against the mackems! This might be his last year, because I think his contract expires next summer if I'm correct.

    you put a 0 on the end by accident right? because i can't imagine why you'd put Jermaine "four goal" Defoe any higher, him being below Crouch/Pavlyuchenko in the pecking order and having a worse goal:game ratio than Shola last season

    Proven goalscorer in Premier League, one bad season when he has been injured and played up top on his own does not make him a bad player. Out of all of our supposed striker targets, he's the one I'd want most.

    therein lies the problem, he's shown he can't play the exact system we're (supposedly) looking to play next season.

    This maybe the case but he is good if he has support around him, HBA would provide this. When playing with VDV behind him and Bale and Lennon on the wings he had no support at all. VDV would drop so deep for the ball, sometimes dropping behind Modric and Huddlestone. Bale and Lennon hug the touchline meaning the only balls he receives are long crosses. We would have an attacking midfielder in HBA behind him and hopefully wingers (maybe Jonas and N'Zogbia) who aren't afraid to cut inside and play closer to the striker when on the attack.
