Well said about Cattermole being **** before Ki coming on. watch out for music boy tho he doesn't like people calling his man lover.
Pass %? Who the ****'s counting? Surely it's effective passing that counts and Catts is very underrated on that score.
Poyet seems to rate him highly. GUS Poyet says he “does not have the words” to describe how influential Lee Cattermole has been since he arrived at the club in October. And ahead of tomorrow’s crunch game against Norwich City, Poyet revealed he believes the former club captain could play a major part in driving the Black Cats to Premier League safety. On Tuesday, for the second game in a row, Poyet gave Cattermole the pivotal defensive midfield role, pushing Ki Sung-Yueng further upfield and the Teessider was not only the architect of the equalising Capital One Cup but also produced a man-of-the-match performance. Poyet said: “Everyone has opinions but, for me, I have no words high enough to praise him. “My first game in charge, the game at Swansea, the best player for us? Lee Cattermole. “The next game, the derby against Newcastle United, for that first hour against them he was the perfect player to have on the pitch in a derby game. “The game against Hull, he was one of our best players but then he picked up the red card – that is Lee Cattermole as well. “During his suspension, we started to play OK, so he had to wait for his chance to get back in, but he got back in against West Ham and was one of our best players. “And then he goes on to play against Chelsea in the cup on Tuesday and was, in my view, man of the match. “Ki played very well in the defensive midfield role, but sometimes, when someone plays as well as Lee has been, you have to find a place in your side for him.” Poyet knows all about Cattermole’s previous disciplinary problems, And he witnessed the 25-year-old’s hot-headedness for himself at the KC Stadium last month, when Cattermole was sent off just before half-time for a foul on his former club-mate, Hull midfielder Ahmed Elmohamady. But the Uruguayan believes that Sunderland’s new style of play will be a perfect match for Cattermole’s abilities. He said: “We want him to be much more controlled, and the biggest compliment I can give him is that he wants to know how we want to play as a coaching staff, he wants to learn. “Our way means that he is not charging here, there and everywhere. “He has freedom, but he has a particular role to play in the side and he has responded to that and is enjoying. “When he doesn’t try to win every tackle on the pitch, for everyone else, as well as himself, then you start to see him at his best.”
And he resorts to petty insults again - the 12 year old spotty keyboard warrior strikes! Not worth it - Poyet likes him (as stated above) and that's all that really matters. But I guess he's wrong as well. I respect Bri's opinion BTW - Don;t try to compare yourself with someone I respect - I disagree but I respect it as he doesn't tell me what mine should be. I personally thought Cattermole did well prior to Ki and Borini but I see the good in Catts where others (like you) don't

I'm 28 by the way but let's talk about the GREAT Lee Cattermole. I do see the good of Cattermole & thats why I said I would of started him against Chelsea & Spurs pal. I just don't see how Cattermole is a better footballer than Colback. Why would I want to compare myself with people like you & Bri for? I'm in a different league compared to you two lads sorry. Plus, Gus is talking out of his arse again. the other day he said Fletcher hasn't missed a clear cut chance but he did against Stoke & now he is saying Cattermole was one of our best players against Hull what a joke of a comment that is. he was one of our worst end of.
One of you mutha ****as mention my name? please log in to view this image What you on about anyway Gus you silly twat. I agree that colback is the better footballer than Catts, he just not as good a leader or protector. The only league you're in is the Human League you make-up wearing puff. You wear your lasses so it's been tested on rats.
Music boy brought up your name saying he respects your opinions & people like me shouldn't try to compare with people he respects. I didn't say nothing about your opinions on Cattermole or Colback.
Anyone who thinks they're better than other decent Sunderland supporters is always wrong I'm afraid. I respect all true Sunderland supporters and so should you.
Of Course he respects my opinion, he's a decent normal human being, everybody on our board respects everybody's opinion, With the exception of maybe you who's far too preoccupied ****ing yourself off and patting yourself on the back. Debate and disagreement are vital to the site and makes it what it is but when your superiority complex extends to mindlessly abusing your fellow man, all respect goes out the window and you're treated with scorn. We all have bad day and fall out but you manage to upset someone and yourself every day you post on here. For what it's worth you amuse me and your opinions are as valid as the person with the opposite view. I understand Narcissism is a trait of your personality that will always be apparent, but if you just dropped the big man act a bit and had a bit of fun you'd enjoy the forum and feel a bit of the respect you so badly crave. Or carry on and continue to be Fool of the Board.
Where are the Cattermole fans tonight then? what a rubbish footballer this **** is. better than Colback my ****ing arse.
If you think Cattermole is a good footballer then you are one brain dead ****. he is average at best.
Define Footballer though fella? I personaly think of a footballer as technical attributes only but others may not. I too think he's an average footballer but I think he's a decent DM. But to others who add other attributes my think he's a decent footballer which would be valid under their definition.
I agree pal. good footballers has good technical abilitys & cattermole hasn't got any. in the long run gus will get rid of him.
Couldn't help myself pal. I just hope from now on people will understand how poor a footballer Cattermole is.
