Sunday Sun... Moussa Sow?

    Putting 2+2 together, Moussa Sow seems like a logical choice.

    First of all, it says "ambitious"... does that mean this player is better than Gameiro? Better by 3 goal perhaps ;)

    Secondly, the article says he has a "proven record" in one of "Europe's top leagues". This would suggest that he's a top goalscorer from one of the following: La Liga, Ligue 1, the Bundesliga, Serie A or the EPL. It also states that the player is from one of our favourite hunting grounds i.e. France.

    So, if we could take the words of the Sunday Sun to be 100% accurate, they seem to think that we're launching an ambitious bid for a top goalscorer from Ligue 1.

    Whilst the story is probably a load of ****e... the only conclusion I can draw is that we're after Sow.

    edit: The article says that it's not Gervinho... but Sow would also make sense as he wouldn't command a huge wage like players from other leagues.

    god I hope so:) if we signed him could tempt Gervinho as well (maybe not but worth a punt 20mill combined deal??)

    Lille have confirmed that they will not sell Gervinho to a French club.

    So that puts us back in the frame , for the umpteenth time...

    Not really as it appears we offered Gervinho 40k whilst PSG offered him 55k.

    Would have seen him go there , I think. Thankfully they won't sell him to French teams.

    that would mean we buy 3 key lille players... would you sell off Tiote/Ben Arfa/Krul to the same team?

    Sow has said he wants to play at Lille next year in the champions league. Can't see it being him. I think the whole story is just a lot of bollocks anyway, lazy journalism.

    ahh ok hadn't heard that :( but yh hopefully by the end of the week we could have him ba and erdinc/sow and i might just have my optimism rewarded:p

    Get Gervinho and Sow and spark up that partnership down the right into the forward line. Then get Benzema and reignite the Benzema/Ben Arfa partnership down the left with Cabaye in the Xabi Alonsoesque distribution role and Tiote holding the midfield and propping up the defence.

    That is what I would call dreamland.
