    That's my expectation. Someone without significant connections in the UK, potentially someone elevated from a much less desirable job to ensure that they don't have much leverage in their dealings with Tan.

    Because he's waiting for either Norwich or Shammers to lose their manager. He was promoted with both teams as a senior player and may fancy returning as manager.

    So Tan has given permission for chairman Mehmet Dalman to open talks with the man identified to replace Mackay. The target is a "household name currently working for a British club".
