    Makes me appreciate this club even more, i hate the glazers but i'm glad they're not interfering with Moyes and telling him to pick players etc.

    tbf if they had used the money the club makes to consistently buy top players and pay good wages instead of paying off their debts Moyes would not have inherited the team they have now, mind you, Moyes might not have been selected had it been a team that was competing with the best in Europe. To put into context, imagine Moyes had got the Bayern manager's job instead of Pep, you lot would have raised your unibrows at that appointment<laugh>

    The squad Moyes inherited was down to Fergie not the Glazers, IMO. Fergie didn't want to play the money game (to the extent City and Chelsea did). He wanted players who wanted to play for United because of its history, and it's competitiveness at every level, not for a big paycheck. Now I believe Fergie could have and should have spent big. I don't think 1-2 players who play for money first would have effected a squad full of players that are at United because it is United. City had a large chunk of players that only went to City for the money, Robinho even thought he was going to Manchester United when they signed him! Now their team is more settled and the people that were only there for the money are gone and they seem to have become a team now.

    At the end of the day, the Glazers are businessmen and they're obviously very good businessmen. They know United needs to remain a top club to maintain/increase revenues to be profitable, but they also appear to be willing and supportive of the clubs traditions in regards to giving youth a chance. I think the 6 year contract they gave Moyes was all about the statement it made, they were going to back Moyes from start and nothing seems to have changed even during the rough patch we're going through.

    Off topic, it's nice to see that the large majority of our fans have been giving Moyes their full support even though things aren't going well, the modern thing today appears to be get your manager sacked right away when results aren't good enough.

    Since the Glazers came in you've had one of the most successful periods in your history. Just goes to show how detached from reality the average United armchair fan is. If you're worried about the debt so much, stick your hand in your pocket and go to a game now and then.

    Portsmouth fans etc can moan about bad owners, I don't think you can.

    That success was down to Fergie more than the Glazers tbh. Fergie did it inspite of them not because of imo.

    It's not our job to support the Glazers debt, what sort of bollocks is that?

    In the region of the two to three hundred or so home games I have been to in my life I feel I contributed sufficiently in creating a club that was rich and self sufficient.

    The Glazers took that away so, to be perfectly frank, they can go and **** themselves.

    <ok>

    I really fail to see how the debt affects the average United fan even in the slightest. You still buy 20-30 million pound players will regularity, you've won countless trophies under them and enjoy top European football every year in the biggest club stadium in the country. Yeah United fans have it sooo bad with their owners. <doh>

    Try going down 2 divisions due to mismanagement like Leeds and Portsmouth.

    Fergie still had plenty of cash to spend (including ludicrous wages on Rooney). In fact the most of any club without a billionaire owner pumping in.

    Yeah but they don't spend their own money ala Abramovich. United is as I gather it a self sustaining model.
