If you sell your soul to the devil, then you shouldn't be surprised that there ends up being a price to pay. As fans of Cardiff, Hull, Portsmouth, Leeds will attest. Kenwright gets dogs abuse from a segment of our fanbase, but the more Vincent Tans I see, the more I think that maybe we could do much, much worse.
The problem for fans though mate is that we have no choice who buys our club. Clubs now are being passed around and used as vehicles to dispose of/launder serious amounts of cash. There are reasons why ****ers like Shinawatra, Antonov, Tan and Yeung buy football clubs and it isn't for the love of footy eh I've always said the same about Bill. Granted he isn't perfect and yes he probably could have done things differently at times but what he's done at Everton has been built not bought. Of all the clubs in the league I'd look at the Everton and Swansea models as the way to run clubs that can't just throw cash about. Add to that the fact that guys like BK and Huw Jenkins really do love the clubs they are responsible for and personally I wouldn't wanna swap a guy like that for all the McDonalds in Malaysia.
