Mark Clattenburg is refereeing his first game at Goodison for 6 years. The last game was v Liverpool and apparently he made 3 woeful decisions - all against Everton. He's has not been back since. I'm uneasy about this because, unless it's an unlikely co-incidence that he's not been chosen to officiate there in the last 6 years, it means that a conscious decision has been made not to let him referee at Goodison which brings into question the integrity of how referees are chosen. The appointment of referees should be random and even if it's shown afterwards that decisions made have been wrong then it should not have any bearing on that referee returning to officiate. Clattenburg's appointment after such a long absence only means that his return will be as much as a focus as the game itself. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/13-14/news/26314.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
BINGO!!!! You do realise that this is PRECISELY the reason that Juve were relegated to Serie B and other teams docked points as part of Calciopoli? Over here it's dubebd a match-fixing scandal despite there being no element of match fixing even suggested whatsoever. I guess it shows they take designating referees to certain clubs as a more serious crime in other countries... But yes, you're right. This raises many questions and is essentially a disgrace.
Clattenburg hasn't been selected for a game at our spot, as the bent twat would have been lynched if they'd have sent him while the foul stench of that blatantly bent, derby day performance, still lingered around Goodison He'll still get dogs abuse when he comes. If you'd seen the game in question, you'd maybe understand why.
I wonder what cheating Michael Oliver will get from Hull City fans on boxing day then ? Man Utd must be dead certs for a couple of pens especially if they are not winning the game.
