Wow, that's quite a wishlist Jake ! If we could sign half a dozen of those players, I would be "over the moon"
Aren't we also after Joe Murphy, the Scunny goalkeeper? At the mo we only have Jamie Ashdown and need at least one other.
Is that just me being overly ambitious? De Laet may be going to Norwich, so I'll swap him with Murphy
Yeah, transfer embargo only goes on if Ben Haim wins, so we've got to get players in by July I would expect 2/3 signings this week. Reckon we've been priced out of De Laet (Norwich want him anyway), but I'm confident we'll still get Halford, Norris and Howard. Would like to Shackell as well, but apparently he's off to Derby. Gudjohnson would be an absolute dream.
so what do you thinks going to come out in it i hope they exppain about there long term plans so we can no the score for a few years!
What, only there for the money? If you need another keeper, we can lend you Tommy Forecast. He's really good, honest.
If this is true, I am genuinely starting to feel sorry for you genuine Pompey fans - how much more of this can you take? Some while ago David Lampitt said (quote) "it would not be in the interests of PFC to reveal the true situation regarding Ben Haim" He is beginning to sound more & more like Storrie
If it's long term pan's you're looking for, then I recommend Le Crueset. High quality ironware with solid wooden handles, will last you for years.
Breaking news on SSN. Birmingham seeking talks with Steve Cotterill over managers job. Can't say I'm surprised, he's done a fantastic job so far just hope he can see our long term potential. Bigger club than Birmingham City IMHO
This managerial merri-go-round really gets on my Bristols. I hope SC states immediately that he's not interested in leaving FP!
Money talks in this game ...so I wouldnt say he wont be going just yet! All depends if Birmingham can afford to the compo!
I think Pompey should appear to be a more exciting prospect than Birmingham at this moment in time. We have just been taken over by a company who seem to be in it for the long haul and want success, and essentially we are starting from scrap, which gives any manager the opportunity to create a name for themselves by creating success and a legacy (so to speak) which will be (largely) down to them. No offense to Birmingham, but they have just been relegated, and even though they have just been in the prem, history shows that never guarantees immediate returns. If SC stays he will have free control to finally build his own team with far less restrictions, and the backing of (most) fans. Speaking of which, I am getting rather annoyed by these calls of "SC out" and all this rubbish. Alright, people are entitled to their views, but I feel these kind of gestures shows a real lack of respect, considering SC has pretty much had to work the past year while balancing on a political bullsh*T tightrope. Give him a chance doing it his way, then 12 months time he should be open to criticism. Sorry, didnt want this to turn into a rant, but I got slightly carried away.
Completely agree. He has a real opportunity here to make himself a hero to Pompey fans. I seem to remember him saying in the press conference after his appointment that this was the area he and his family felt most at home?
I agree, why would he wont to go to Birmingham, Europe would be a distraction and it's far easier managing 8 players, rather than a full squad.
I assumed that with quotes like "I think Pompey should appear to be a more exciting prospect than Birmingham at this moment in time" and "If SC stays he will have free control to finally build his own team with far less restrictions" that Rex was trying to be funny. I didn't think for one minute that he believed that rubbish,
