does really want some activity on the transfermarket now. we need 3 strikers, or atleast two ! anyone know anything new ?
Ryan Taylor is only 23 but he hasn't exactly been a profilic scorer for Rotherham. 20 goals in 100 games in a lower league doesn't sound very promising. In any case we always lose out when other Championship teams are interested in a player as well because we are restricted by our pay structure. Hope KJ has got other strikers lined up otherwise we are going to struggle for goals next season.
No disrespect to the lad but I think we should be aiming higher we need to add some quality in to the squad hope I'm wrong but as it stands I think it will be a tough year if we can add 4 good new sighnings I can see us pushing for a play off spot in kenny we trust
Shame we couldn't get Chopra I think he might have done well down the Den, but I assume Ipswich have deeper pockets? Or perhaps KJ just didn't want him
I see that Nathan Tyson has gone to Derby from Forest. There was talk that we were looking at him. but I guess, just like Chopra, he was asking for ridiculous wages. Lets not all get a little fidgity about the lack of signings so far. Yes we are down to 3 strikers and we dont have anyone proven at this level, but KJ and JB will know this too. we are still in June, the fixtures aint even come out yet. We will be making our signings in July.
The SLP and the Sunday People yesterday both said we've bid for Rhodes so I'm inclined to believe it as it must be true if two papers both have the same story. He apparently wants show down talks with Lee Clark and to play at a higher level so seems on his way out but time will tell if we bag him.
In the highly reliable Sun today it says were moving in for Ryan Taylor as he's stalling on a new deal but that it would involve compo as he's 23. IIRC the bosman ruling states that the player's parent club are entitled to compo for any player under a certain age and failing that then a tribunal will decide instead. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3637730/Ryan-Taylor-set-for-Millwall-switch.html Although this isn't anything new from what we heard before about Taylor.
We've denied making a move for Paul Hayes which is a new one on me. http://www.southlondonpress.co.uk/Sport.cfm?id=21606&headline=Lions deny Hayes approach London raised so shouldn't be to hard to prise away from League 1 footy if KJ is interested and if anything comes of this if its a denial before making a bid to stop others entering a bidding war.
Cockney, you happy with that then? All I've heard are people moaning about him being a mercenary and looking for an easy payout. I'd be worried about a player who can cut it in the prem jumping down to championship level.
****ing right i'm happy fella ! He's 28 and wants a 5 year contract that the Toon won't give him, plus he gets to play for his adopted dad again. He'll scores goals galore and is a real leader.
Alright Cockney. As Jimmy said he's only looking for a big pay day which the Toon wont give him but the chuckle brothers will and that sums up the Shammers for me, not living within the club's means now or any other time after a huge drop in revenue and this is why your club is ****ed financially but they never learn their lesson. I heard last night your looking to bring in 7 new players but we all know you can't afford it so it will be the chuckle brothers problem until they sell up to whoever is stupid enough to buy the club and then the cycle starts all over again - you've never had thought they are sell made millionaires if you didn't know they are as they couldn't run a piss up. Not leaving out the uncommitted Brady woman making up the 3 stooges who is more concerned sucking that Labour ****er Alan Sugar's dick rather than doing what she's paid to at UP - even Tony Cottee moaned about her last season about her spending more time on the program than at Hamsterville!
I know they did well but they never faced a debt at Brum like they have at your place but its bury you head syndrome time!
