Are you ever right about anything? Allam's acquire club October 2010. Cash Converters become kit sponsors June 2011. The deal was done by Mark Maguire, acting for the Allam's. Though to be fair, I doubt they knew who Cash Converters were.
Ben, sometimes I agree with you, sometimes not; it's just the same with Craig - in general terms it is this name-change that is divisive, to the point of seriously damaging the football and general o/t banter of the board; but I am clear on who to blame for that, I know who he is, what he looks like and what he thinks of me. One minute you say you know folk and the next you lecture on how you don't, which kind of indicates you either argue for the sake of it or have lost the plot. You have made yourself the keeper of the scrolls so you can attack those posters who you neither know or like; trouble is, you're not very good at it. Just for the sake of clarity, for both you and Craig; as you both post in inflammatory terms of extreme: I have a lingering gratitude for what AA did in saving the club from administration or worse; I use the various terms of liar, manipulator, deceiver and bully, because they all very fairly describe various of his actions over the last year - he has been forced into the daylight in terms of honesty, but bullying and manipulation continues; I do not hate him, as that is a phrase of extremism and I have no need of it - without a doubt he would make cringe-worthy company, on the strength of what he has shown us, but so would some on here. I do not believe any individual who lies, cheats and deceived can be afforded respect; nor can I see how respect can be attributed to his actions for the club as they are in progress and they stink to high-heaven. If someone makes one action that is beneficial to you and appreciated by you then you will be grateful, you will probably also respect them for it. But if, as time moves on, that individual acts against you in various ways and undermines one of your core beliefs, then, although the original gratitude may remain (as mine lingers), the respect you once had is replaced with a sense of anger and disappointment. Unless I am mistaken, that is exactly what I see on these boards. Let's drop the posturing and stupid quotes and counter-quotes, let's simply look at the man on the strength of what he is doing now.
In the interests of balance, of course. Guess the "pro" campaigners as you call them are more relaxed about the situation than you are.
You tried to create a slur about me being a hypocrite. I took your slur and answered every element of it in detail (repeatedly) to the point where you had nowhere to go and had to give ground each time. Your final post last night conceded everything except one accusation (which I had previously answered) that you still clung to. I answered your last accusation again in detail leaving you nothing to substantiate your slur. At that point a man would have admitted he concocted the whole thing for reasons of a personal grudge, but you didn't. Instead you went back to your previous post and edited it to include a tantrum of insults. (the proof of all of this is here for anyone to see if they can be arsed.) In conclusion you have proved yourself to be devious, childish and cowardly and you owe me an apology for your attempted slur. However I don't expect to receive one because devious, childish and cowardly people like yourself don't know how to apologise.
http://www.westlondonsport.com/west...ll-city-chiefs-have-got-it-wrong-wls-football And to think, he's even richer than Allam and owns a club with one of football's longest names. Things are primed for shortening* *And by shortening, I of course mean lengthening, then reducing to something still longer than the original name
Everyone on this forum has an issue with someone else, but most people keep it above board and debate / argue fairly. Ben uses more devious tactics to slur people, and while he's been trying to do it to me I've had PMs from others with similar stories. He needed exposing.
He's not criticised anyone, he's just stated he has a different approach. The journo wrote the headline. He doesn't need to shorten the name, everyone calls them QPR. Does he pump more of his personal wealth into QPR than Dr Allam can do with us? I take it you support his view it's his club to physically own and not the fans? The interview is him just stating the obvious about his team. Noone with any sense would see it any differently.
"Although they may not physically own the club, the fans are part of the club. Without them there is no club, so I think their views have to be taken into consideration." Enough said.
Their financials are very similar to ours, they owe £89m to their owners(though their wage bill is higher, at least it was last season).
Do we really need a new thread for every sodding article or blog on this? They're all the same ffs. Please, Mods, make 1 thread, and merge all this ****e into it?
I'd agree that we don't need a new thread every time there's another article, some tidying up is probably in order.
Precisely why I used a previously started thread. Although, with the twists and turns of this sorry saga, don't you think it'd be a tad difficult to stay focussed on the thread title if they were all merged.
