I just do not understand why Spurs reverted to 4-5-1 when only 1-0 ahead! Is this Sherwood character AVB in disguise? I understand Adebayor is lacking in fitness but surely a like-for-like replacement was available on the bench, aka Soldado?!
Not surprised at all to be honest. Things are a joke and the results are likely to continue like this. levy has caused this mess and needs a miracle. However, as much as I want silverware, this could be a blessing in disguise, which might help us in the long run. we need to get out of europa too and concentrate purely on the Premier league and sorting ourselves out. We've got injuries galore and don't need to be traveling to the furthest parts of Europe with all these issues we currently have. we need to work out what the hell our best team is (if that's even possible with the shower of **** we're currently witnessing) and get some stability where players play with each other regularly. Not 6 or 7 changes from game to game. Sherwood has no experience and is not the man. Sorry Levy, the cheapskate option isn't going to work. You've got to get us a proven top class manager and pay a fortune for who ever that person is, in order to convince them to join this mess.
What's the point of getting out of the Europa Roo? Then to qualify for it and so the cycle continues? Even if we get into CL...proves we can't do midweek matches and the league...so no point.
By the time we find a manager who can improve on where Redknapp took us, we will have spent probably 300 million.
Nothing to get over. It's all said with a smile as you can only laugh at the way this club is run and makes mistake after mistake.
Let's not worry about next season, lets try to save this season. I wrote a post the other day that gives my opinion/answers what you've written here. But i'll say it again. Europa means we're always Thurs and Sunday. All the away games are ****ing miles away. When ever we're in it, it has an impact on our premier league campaign. Yes it's nice to be in europe, but i'm thinking in line with the top 4 aspirations that the club has as it's objective. Newcastle and Liverpool have both struggled in recent years when competing in the Europa, now look at them. Livepool lie second and Newcastle are the best they've been in ages. Also, take Swansea. Yes, they are doing ok, but the strain on them is definitely there to be seen. That competition seems to have a big affect on ones domestic season, and right now, we need to be focussing on nothing but the league, whilst we can still save our season. - Even that's looking like one huge uphill task.
You still have top 4 aspirations? I'd take top 10 if you offered it I think - there is no messiah manager who will come in this time and wave a magic wand to fix everything.
No Morpheus, I don't. But the club does. So my reasoning/comments are based on what the aims of the club are. We are a mess, but we still have something to cling onto mathematically, if we act fast. That has to be the 100% focus, whilst there's still a chance.
