    He seems better than what we have got. As for loic remy hes constantly been linked with arsenal but there put off by his price tag last year he had a price of about 30m on his head, dont know what hes done since if hes been poor this year he could be available for about half that.

    He has moved clubs since then and not been a success, same with Gignac. Could be in with a chance of either at a decent price.

    Gignac was fantastic at Toulouse when he replaced Elmander as the first choice striker.

    He's not a prolific striker though and rarely gets more than 10 a season and also the fact that his transfer would be in the region of £14 million from Marseille puts me off.

    Went to Marseille last year for a fee reported to be between 14/16 million Euros and has three years remaining.

    The Ben Arfa transfer saga hasn't exactly kept us in the good books with Marseille so I can't see them taking less than they paid.

    Marseille are still bitter about it. They are not exactly enamoured with NUFC pressuring the player to come amidst the fall out between Ben Arfa and Deschamps.

    I don't mind holding my hands up and saying I loved the lad while he was here. Spooned the simplest of shots, scored the more dificult screamers - a complete enigma but his pace made him dangerous! And the fact we could flog him on to then German champions and recuperate all of our money from him is fairly testament to the way he was rated!

    Obviously old age has caught up with him now...

    gignac has always failed to impress me, remy could be decent if he was cheap. not bad at set peices either.

    anyone else notice every decent striker in the french league gets linked with arsenal at least once?

    what about gomis? we were linked with him 2 years ago apparently he was the next drogba!
