Are you suggesting the big boys are somewhere else?
48 years of dedication leads me to conclude the big boys are in the PL.Maybe it is me who is a simpleton but I prefer the prem.Looking how many come to games now it would appear so do most others.Alot of the time it was really sh*t in the lower leagues.I like it now.

Complaining about f**king everything typical West stander elderly person. The only thing that matters right now is the name change. Cash Converters is gone from next season by the way!

No silly Billy you've let your 2nd face get in the way of your first. I don't have any mates on here as I don't know anybody who posts on here, it's anonymous. I'll let you into a secret, I'm not called Ben & I haven't really been knighted - promise not to tell.

I have opinions of people, some good, some indifferent, some bad. I have respect for some posters on here, others I don't. Some I have a lot of respect for even though I don't share their opinions. Others I share some opinions with yet have absolutely no respect for as posters.

Some people are not happy with our owner's proposal to change our club name. They have many reasons to be skeptical that a change in club name wouldn't be beneficial to either the short or long term future of the club. These have been discussed at depth on many other threads & need no further discussion. These posters also have the utmost respect for our owners in respect of what they have done for the club & what we have achieved during their tenure. These are not Allam haters.

Some posters have respect for our owners but feel they cannot trust them going forward. They believe trust issues became apparent last year when NB was fired & more recently believe they have misinformed supporters regarding their motives in wanting to change the club name. These are not Allam haters.

Some people trust our owners 100% & do not believe their business nous should be questioned. They believe the owners have earned the right to name the club whatever they see fit. These are not Allam haters.

Some people think the owners should be criticised &, in some cases, abused, if they piss them off when we're not in the Premier League. They now think that because we are in the Premier League their previous abuse & criticism of the owners didn't really happen. Their belief now is that others, who are similarly pissed off with them, have no right to criticise them as the Premier League trumps all. They spend a lot of time trying to convince others that being against the proposed name change automatically make you an Allam hater. Maybe this is to divert attention away from their own lack of values & principles. These are the real haters of the Allams. They just don't have the balls to admit it, instead they spend their time accusing others of being what they are themselves. Maybe it's a guilt thing.

Like I have stated previously the anti Allam abuse has generally come from those that are either indifferent to or pro the proposed name change. I could post some of the abuse & criticism if you're not convinced.

Wait for the "I'm sure you spent a lot of time writing that but I'm not reading it, it's a problem I have with the truth" response.

Of course you're referring to my quotes against Allam when he sacked Barmby again. However you won't come straight out with it because you know I tore you a new one when you had to admit the context of those quotes previously.

But for what it's worth here is my standard reply again (I copy and paste it now because I know you'll never respond to something against your 'slur agenda.'):

"I made the same comments on that day because like everyone else I was angry and bitter towards Allam for sacking Barmby.

I've been angry with a lot of people in my life, as I'm sure you and everyone else has, but I don't set my opinion of someone in stone after one incident.

Since that day Mr Allam has put his money where his mouth is and supported the team significantly enough to gain promotion to the BPL and also buy a full team last summer. He also had the ambition to bring in a manager of SB's calibre.
So in answer to your question I was angry and doubted our owner after the Barmby debacle, but I have changed that opinion based on his subsequent actions."

BTW Any idiot knows there's been a constant stream of hate posts against Allam since the name change issue began and no-one has to be reminded who made them.

I think the general consensus on the night was you ended up looking a little bit of a hypocritical tit, but let's not split hairs.

If you'd read the posts then & again now you'd understand the problem isn't your change of opinion, I'm glad it's changed, our owners deserve respect & not the **** some posters (yours was quite mild) aimed at them. The issue I have is you're now critical of people who are being critical of our owners because they are, as you were, pissed off with them. That's the hypocrisy. You label anybody who questions the proposed name change an "Allam hater" yet believe yourself not to be the same when you were critical of them yourself.

It is completely feasible to believe the name change wrong yet still respect our owners for all they've achieved. As I've said many times criticising & questioning our owners is perfectly acceptable, they should welcome it, learn from it & they will improve as people because of it.

Don't bother. He cannot, or won't, admit to this very simple idea.

Yes there's no doubt you had plenty of back-up from your mates.

But back to your point I criticised Allam about a specific point and didn't let it degenerate into just general and personal abuse of the man himself.
I have no issue with people who are angry about the name change and argue their corner about it, but it pisses me off that some seem to want to make him out to be some kind of evil personality who puts himself before the club when he has proved (and SB also believes) he wants the club to be successful and he has invested in that success.

I think Mr Allam has made a mistake with the name change, but if fans slag him off personally I and many others on here will question their motives.

    As you did yourself.

He had invested in the club & wanted it to be a success when you were critical of him "showing his true colours"

When you & your mates were "slagging" him personally were you not just being emotive? Do you think others now are simply just being emotive too?. What's the difference? Is there a difference? Is it the league we are in?

I loved Deano as a player, but he's possibly the dimmest bloke I've ever met.
