Really hope we don't think that this will be an easy win and **** it up! Have to concentrate and get the points.
Hull should be the big lesson on what happens and what is at stake. Had we gone to Hull with the right mindset and played to our abilities, hurrying them around, moving the ball quickly, looking to penetrate, solid at the back, etc then we would have won that game no worries. NOt only would we have won that game but we would have gone top of the league and a slight bit ( even if just a point) of breathing room in the top four. Got to make sure we take the game to Cardiff early and get that goal as the way we are at home, I can see them implode and give up a bit. Also need this game to be an injury free one for the City game on boxing day!!!!!!
Looking at the stats there seems to be a considerable difference in ours to yours? However our task is to stay in the league...you need a top four finish at least. We cannot expect to take anything from this game but we hope our team puts in a good performance then we will not complain. It is strange we cannot relax and enjoy life in the premiership as points are hard to get here...it is also a culture shock not to be at the top like we were season after season in the championship. We do appreciate coming to big clubs like Liverpool but it will not decide our season. Have a good game but not too good. jck
One game at a time. Given the option now, I'd take us dropping points against City AND Chelsea if it means we beat Cardiff.

i voted draw which now means my superstition is fulfilled and i can look forward to a great game. C'mon yew reds! There is indeed press talk around cardiff but thier manager can use it for his own ends
the world is against us? he could tell his players he's going nowhere and its balls and if they rally? in the end all we need do is focus on working just as hard or harder than them and deserving to win. anything they do is then moot as we are good enough to win.. if we merit it though effort.
MM will probably park the bus and set us up to not lose too heavily which will make it a poor game from our point of view. Personally I'd love to see an attack minded formation as we are not expected to get any points at Anfield so why not let the lads try some attacking and you never know, just maybe...
