... does this perhaps herald a return for Waggy from loan? ... perhaps a few games up front for either Jeff Schlupp or Gary Pastie-Muncher? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9076715/
Did you post this thread just to get those jokes in? I wouldn't believe him tbh, he was tight lipped on Chris Wood last year until the club announced it a few days before Jan 1st. If we don't get another goalscorer in, i would be disappointed and would hope for a top 6 finish at best, all the clubs around us are likely to spend money (Derby, Forest, Brighton, Reading ... maybe even Burnley if they believe they can get promoted, don't think QPR will need to, but prob will...). If we don't improve players in the Jan transfer window, we won't be fighting for automatic places.
Lets put it this way, if theirs money to spend and Pearsons contract renewal is more than likely based on if we go up or not, he should be pulling out all the stops in January in order to bring in some players that will help us achieve that.
Well he's not going to admit it is he - if he announced that he is after a striker, everyone would put their prices up and the players will demand higher wages. If we are in contact with SEB then it is a good move - can demand he signs a short term deal as we aren't officially in for a striker. Or of course NP might just recall Waghorn who doesn't seem to be as rubbish as he was for the past year.
Who would you suggest - looking at our usual parent teams of Man Utd and Liverpool, I can't see anyone of note.
Suarez? I don't see Zaha getting in the Man U team... GTF in the middle with Zaha and Knockeart flying through on either side, yes please
John Guidetti please. I hope he starts tonight, grabs some goals then Nige asks Pellegrini if we can have him till May.
I want Ebanks-Blake just so we could have a potential partnership of Ebanks-Blake and Taylor-Fletcher. Longest-named strike duo in the league.
I think you boys may have missed out on SEB! He is at Ipswich this afternoon undergoing a medical and it sounds pretty much done & dusted that he will sign for our Mick!
It's just bloody brilliant that at long last we have a top quality manager who knows what he's doing! If SEB does sign then it will be 100% down to his links with Mick.
