Great pic, but why isn't Button in the middle of it! He's stuck way off to one side, at least put him centre-stage, not Whitmarsh, this race was won by the driver. Although his pit crew did a sterling job with all 6 of his stops, and Button made the call to go for inters.
Something I've only just noticed watching the race through again, is that the Ferrari's queued for inters on lap 36/7, but Alonso was made to wait for Massa. It's nice to see the team haven't put Massa completely in the number 2 role, and did let him have first choice of when he pitted. Well done Ferrari.
Now while i love my F1, i still prefer the 24hr drama of la sarthe to the glorified sprint race of F1 pretty much any day
Just been looking at who did what tags and it reminded me that El_Bando has missed this race. Of all the races
Having just spoken to a Canadian friend, who doesn't live too far from montreal (not at the race), I might be able to shed some light on the alleged booing of Vettel by fans or mechanics. Apparently, Gerard Tremblay, who is the major of Montreal, is currently under a bit of fire for whatever reason, and isn't at his most popular. Tremblay presented Vettel with his trophy, so maybe the booing was meant for him instead. I don't know for sure, and neither did he (I don't get the impression Tremblay is that unpopular), but it might be the reason for the boos.
The boos had nothing to do with the Mclaren team; what a shame someone suggested this. The booing came from the fans who watched the presentation ceremony and as far as I am aware was not incited by anyone but was a spontaneous reaction.
Cheers DHcanary @ Manny Respect Manny, you're sticking with it. Btw 8 people voted for jenson, not 9, somebody has voted after the race and is a cheating little ****e.
I saw the same thing Forza did. I'm telling you somebody has voted after the race.... 2 people also voted for vettel when the race was still running it was 15 then turned into 17 after the race restarted.
Overall a great race, happy to wake up to see Button clear (didnt do anything wrong anyway). Also great to see so many new faces on here, lets keep it all genuine and keep the discussion going !.
Bloody brilliant. Just watched the end again on the red button. Phenomenal driving. What does everyone think of the double DRS zone?
Missed the actual race because I was in Amsterdam. Watched the highlights though and boy, what a race. Can't believe I picked out Button, it was basically a long shot.
lol It was definitely 8 last night - and 62 people overall voted, rather than the 68 being showed now
Yeah I agree, the two DRS zones were not that bad but they need two detection zones to make it work, otherwise a driver can just use the first to get passed and then the other to pull away.
