Don't get me wrong, Kate, I'd love nothing more than to see Arsenal get ripped a new one in the CL final.
By the way, I note that Ozzie hasn't been back to post on our board since Chavs got ripped a new one by the might Sunderland, and dumped out of the Milk Cup. It's a shame that I'm not permitted to post on the Chav board, because I could have had some discussion with him about that.
We've already won it, in recent history - by beating Chavs, ironically. But, of course, this is the excuse that certain fans always give when their team gets dumped out of a domestic cup - "yeah, we didn't want to win it, anyway." Arsenal fans are the worst for that kind of arrogance, and look what it's brought them in 9 long years - absolute jack ****.
Funny thing is when we won it you called it a Mickey Mouse cup. But since the turmoil that now engulfs your club its now viewed in the same bracket as the Champions League trophy.
It's always viewed as "the Mickey Mouser Cup" by those teams who think it's beneath them. I don't think you'll find many Spurs who believe that, tbh. Sure, it's treated with contempt by some teams, who field under-strength squads, but that's mostly the Chelseas and Arsenals of this world. Hardly. But I'd like to think that, when we get ourselves back in the CL, where be belong, we'll take the Milk Cup seriously, and pay it the due respect it deserves. I wouldn't want us Spurs fans to reach the heights of arrogance of Gooners or Chavs.
Some fine wummery/delusion there. One year in the CL and you now belong there? , you belong where you are - on a slippery slope to mid-table
absolute nonsense there HIAG. In fact it was really Chelsea that started the trend of the bigger teams taking it more seriously and we made 3 finals in 5 years fielding very good sides throughout. Even this year and last night we put out very good sides on paper with numerous internationals on show. Arsenal I'll give you which is surprising given their recent lack of any silverware.
And Chelsea fans saying that they are glad they are out of it.Make your minds up lads. I bet Jose is tearing what's left of his hair, don't you?
Mourinho takes the competition seriously as he understands the value of instilling a winning mentality into his sides. Success breeds success. Winning is a habit. Insert third cliche here.
Yes, that's a whopping 3 games less to play. They can all have an extended holiday, even though only a few of their first team play in it.
Some are. I would never say I was glad to be out of a competition. If you're in it, you should try and win it...simple. That's why Chelsea have still won loads in the last few years despite only winning the title once since 2006 - cos we take all comps seriously. Doesn't mean you can win them all and some sensible squad rotation still has to take place. You can't say a forward 4 of Shurrle, De Bruyne, Willian and Eto'o is not taking a comp seriously - that's about 70 million of talent.
But you do generalise horrifically by suggesting that all Liverpool fans are forever claiming that this will be our year.
