    Forren £2m down the drain

    Source?

Mayuka is on big wages and a five year deal ! We will lose a couple of million on him.

Has he contributed nothing? How do you know what the plans are for him? Was he not part of the Premiership side last season?

Then we have the disaster thats Gaston Ramirez who cost £13 million and is earning £75k a week.

    Source?

The beauty of this, is that we are still here, your mentor would have seen us destroyed. At least we know now, that after ML, after NC, after MP, we will still have a Football Club to be proud of with new people in charge, and will be able to support our Club, you have lost the faith, if you cannot support the Club for whatever reason, as it is now, and will be in the future, (it is not the fault of those that do), then there is no point lecturing us, because we simply see it in a different light. As I said, you can jump on the bus and enjoy the ride, or leave at the next stop and wave goodbye. None of your peevish protesting will change what is happening, only time and fate will do that.

If we were borrowing money just to sign players for short term glory I would be more concerned, but a lot of what is going on is long term planning. Cortese saved us when we were nearly down and out and will leave a legacy and not just the memory of a few good years. If the only intention was to make money (like all businesses), I'm sure the Leihberrs and Nicola could have turned us round for a quick buck after buying us cheaply...no need to spend a lot on the training ground, players and changing managers to achieve success.

Agreed, but there was no nearly down and out about it. We were gone. History, due to bungled management and boardroom in-fighting. Thank goodness for a couple of guys with a bit of foresight and long termism.

We are the luckiest team in the world to be bought by Markus. We could have been taken over by money launderers, East European gangsters or some other nut jobs.

Compared to all the other rich Barron's trolling for clubs, we were enormously fortunate. Look at how nearly all of them have turned out. ML was not just a rich guy looking to waste some money on a pet project. He had ethics which the others around that time did not. Add to that NC and we are truly blessed. Certainly not everything is perfect but then again nothing is. Humans will always mess things up a bit.
