Morning Peeps, Wakey, wakey..... McDermott has a shopping list of two or three new players in January with Max Gradel on the list of players he is keen to bring to Elland Road. There has been talk in the past year of so of bringing Gradel back to ER, but not as much as there has been in the last few days. For the first time McDermott admits he is interested in bringing him back. Speaking on LUTV, McDermott said, "I have two or three targets that I will discuss with the board come January and we will see where we go. "Max Gradel will be on a list of players that we like. When you are trying to sign two or three players, you cannot just have two or three players on the list, we must have options. "There are players out there who we think will improve us and if one of those is Max Gradel and we can do a deal, then great." If we sign Gradel, do we assume that we play him on the wing? I do remember, he has an eye for goal? Would we also assume that Gradel would be our only big money buyer in January, if indeed Haigh and McDermott can pull it off. Lets not forget, it was not long ago that we were signing players like Danny Webber (now playing at Accrington Stanley) and Darren O'Dea (now applying his trade at Ukrainian side Metalurh Donetsk) Did our old managers stand a chance? Here are a few facts that you may or may not know about the sale of Elland Road and Thorp arch during the dark old days Elland Road and Thorp Arch were sold off nine years ago. This raised just £12 million pounds. If Haigh and partners decide to exercise the buy-back clause which was built into the contract at the time, it will cost them more than £15m to buy back Elland Road alone. This is ironic as 15m is around the figure Leeds have had to pay in rent over the last nine years. No wonder our new owners are keen to buy back one of the clubs biggest assets. Was the high rent the reason Bates never spent money? Was he losing money each year, or was he the tight fisted SOB that we all assume?
Morning Elland and all. Buying Elland road and renting it was some piece of business for the current owner. Incidentally, I've little doubt that it's bates and mates. As for Max, whether we get him or not, it's great we can once again dream. If this was two years ago, we would have been discussing the 12 goals Ross has scored for Middlesbrough and how those goals would have kept us out of bottom three. Would also be discussing how much if any of mowatts and byrams transfer fee Lomas would be given for transfers as that's the level of rubbish manager we'd now have. Morison would have scored one for us so far. That's likely the level we would now be in. Approaching the first anniversary, thank you gfh for sparing us such a fate
Morning Eire, you alright fela? Don't think Bates was around in 2004? Was he? Think it was Krasner! Lovin yer work fella...

Much appreciated. Never happen. I like all of us fans are really excited at our prospects, but because of where we we have been for the last 10 years or more, I am keeping my feet on the ground....with a few additions to the squad and a prevailing wind of luck, hard work etc, then this could be our season, if not, then my God how well placed are we going to be for next season ??? .....The good days appear to be coming back....But lets never forget to be cautious in managing our own expectations....Lets Keep Marching on and enjoy what we do best....GET BEHIND IT ALL, MAKE LOADS OF NOISE...WE ARE LEEDS,NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE !!!!

I know Bates wasn't around then and it was Krasner who sold it but Im pretty sure Bates got his hands on our ground in the interim. In good spirits today as its one of my lasses 21st today. Lots of partying planned from Friday till Monday night.
Great to see all these guys joining from far afield. Makes us Irish nearly feel like Yorkshiremen. Were getting close to Leeds by the day
