A much needed win last time out but now the daunting task of facing inform Liverpool - 14 goals in three games and riding high in 2nd place. Given our miserable away run and considering we can't even beat Palace on the road it's probably going to take some form of miracle for us to get anything out of this game. Medel, Caulker and Turner (as well as Marshy) are going to have to the games of their lives to keep man of the moment - Luiz Suarez at bay. Cannibal, racist he may be but he certainly knows where the net is. Hopefully he's run out of goals. However no Sturridge or Stevie G so it could be worse. And we're live on BT Sport in the early kick off. Plus Cardiff Uni beat Liverpool's on University Challenge this week. It's a sign!
OK...first up.....and is it reality and league position (mine) or another of heart over head......... Got to go LFC 2 CCFC 1....we'll lead from an early goal by Mutch and then get slowly but surely pegged back with one goal just after half time and the final nail in 89 minutes.....a poor penalty.
I missed the WBA Prediction! Going 1-1 on this one as I feel we can pick something up at Anfield! Mutch to score Happy Xmas to you all
Liverpool 3 - 0 Cardiff Going with my head on this one. Even when Cardiff play attacking football, we still struggle to put the ball in the net, and Liverpool seem to have no problems in doing so.
Everton are the North Walians john and always have been. Good luck against littlpool But hope your luck runs out against biggerpool.
4-1 Caulker consolation for us. Please Blue. I've never travelled to an away game more in hope than expectation in my life!
Feel I should update you on the intriguing situation devolving in the 2nd Division. After a raft of points being banked after our home win against West Brom, anyone from 1st to 10th could grab one of the two promotion slots available after our Boxing Day match against Southampton. A week back Bfb was looking pretty chuffed with a 4 point lead at the top but this has been reduced to a single point before the final two fixtures. Behind him on 12 points there is a 5 way tie for 2nd! Currently, Blue in Belfast holds 2nd due to having 2 CS's but anyone of Swamp, Sayer, Blueturk or Musty has an equal chance! Fortunately it seems Musty has been banned so that might put a knife in his chances of promotion but lets not discount Frankfurter and Sparkey who are only 2 points of top and could still claim one of the places. Crucial predictions against Pool and Saints then!
