It doesn't work like that, look at Moyes at Man Utd, or Rodgers when he first went to Liverpool. Laudrup made them better, end of.
Meh, we'll see, they did have a good season last year but I think that was largely on the back of a lucky/fortunate signing in Michu, as well as the team's mentality from Rodgers. But I guess we'll see. I'm not saying Laudrup is bad, but hardly understand the talk of him going to a bigger club.
I think Swansea have regressed too under Laudrup too hence the earlier comment. Appreciate the debate on it too. It's like on FM when you set yourself as an ex-International you can get that extra calibre of player hence Michu. I think the ethos of Swansea started when previous managers were in charge. Look at this seasons signings - Bony (scored in Europe but struggled in the Prem) and then who else? Shelvey - meh Last season Michu - great impact, De Guzman - decent, Chico - ok but easy to argue there are better players signed since then for less Taking Michu out of the equation you'd struggle to see where he has improved the team. Granted Michu is there, but his impact has been marginalised this season Jury is out on Laudrup for me.
Agreed that Cardiff spent ridiculous amounts in the summer. Just hope Assem can put his hand in his pocket?
The opening post and then AKCJ clearly talks of 'Prem', the rest talk ****e. Laudrup is doing just fine; detracting from him because of his predecessors is crackers - perhaps the guy who recruited them all deserves most of the praise. Proper back-peddling thread this is in places.
Mackay wants out but wants the pay-off that comes with a sacking. His post march words are deliberate to fan the flames with Tan.
Tan seems like a bit of an idiot but he's right in this situation. Cardiff were the 7th highest spending club in the summer (£35 million, going to £50 million with add-ons), if the owner says he doesn't want to spend any more then he's well within his rights, the manager has been backed handsomely and should be able to keep the club up having spent that much.
Allam is worse than this. All he's saying is there's no more money, even if he does seems disproportionately angry about it. At least he admits when there's no money instead of making someone else take the flack.
Has been in trouble since he lost his right hand man and the odd job man came in. Bye Bye Cardiff and back to the championship if MM does leave imo. In fact as Cardiff go to Liverpool(who go top if they win) on saturday if they get beat badly then that may just be the end. Happy Xmas Malky. Lol.
lol, you need to gain some perspective mate Tan has changed their historic colour ffs & now he's totally undermined his manager for the 2nd time in a couple of months. Coming out publicly & saying that he won't be getting a penny piece in Jan as he supposedly overspent in the summer, despite only spending £14m in fees, to try and keep up a side that he'd just gained a £60m per season windfall for, is the actions of a complete **** of a Chairman. He'll lose Mackay & I hope they sink without a trace personally.
Makes what we spent on Big Nick P. look very small. In fact we have had more for our money actually. Looks like it and i dont blame him. MM now the favourite for the WBA job some media outlets are reporting today.
You're a ****ing clown. Tab interferes with the football, requests certain players play and has demanded certain substitutions be made. Tan sacks staff members who have done a good job to replace them with painter & decorators from Malaysia! That is just ****ing incredible. Tan has **** on Cardiffs identity and heritage far more than Allams name change. Tan publicly ****s on his management an playing staff, that's got to be great for team morale hasn't it? Allam isn't even close to him, not even in the same league.
How the **** is switching the blue kit to the away kit damaging the history of the club more than drastically changing the name of the football club?
Were still Hull, were still the tigers. What are Cardiff? Red Dragons? Whatever they are, they ain't the bluebirds. That's their identity gone, it is no more. All that's happening here is a crappy cheesy sounding alteration to the clubs name. We still have our identity, no matter what you knicker wetting melodramatic drama queen types say, it's still the same club, 109 years of history will continue to remain.
I know Tan's a ****. Not denying that. But you posted: 'and people say Allam's worse than this?' and I'm saying he is worse than this. This particular story isn't even that bad.
