  3. I know mate, it's just hearing such an upsetting noise from a family member.

It kinda messed me up a bit in my head.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_stress_reaction.

It's just shock. A specific physiological reaction to an event. Nothing new. I'm surprised HMT didn't put 2+2 together and realise that he may be in shock but whatever.

  6. Agreed, i know i've probably over reacted. To be honest it frightened me more than it upset me. I just hope she's alright because i couldn't go to the hospital with her, so as soon as i see her better it will probably cheer me up.

It is an odd reaction mind, posting it on a football forum! Each to their own I suppose.

  9. Well even though this is primarily a football forum, a canny few people do post off topic stuff, and even stuff about their person lives at times.

People have even met over old 606 and not606

They'll sort the pain out pretty damn quick. If it's REALLY bad then they'll give her a shot of morphine and it'll stop within seconds. That's the funny old thing with the back and spine. She might be perfectly safe health-wise, but any issues with spinal discs or nerves can cause agonising pain which makes the problem appear much more serious than it really is. I've had my Dad drop down with a heart attack and doctors have told me he'd be dead if he was brought in only 30 minutes later. That's when **** gets serious.

Yeah I agree, there's nothing wrong with people having more to talk about than football. I've more in common with some people on here than most of my facebook friends. I'm honestly gonna delete that ****.

Still, nowt compares to sitting in your local with your best pals <cheers>

He's on the mend. He went back in for 6 months because of a heart infection, septicaemia, alcohol withdrawl and a host of other ****, but he hasn't touched a drop since he came out and his body is slowly but surely repairing itself.

That happened to my teacher and his mam. He was at uni and his brothers (who were 7 and 12) were living with just his mam as his dad was in the forces. His mam was in real pain one day and was basically not good at all but even though the older brother living with her kept asking if she wanted an ambulance, she kept saying no and that if he jus made her a cup of tea she'd be alright and all that. Eventually she collapsed and he rang them. They took her into hospital and eventually she died of a heart attack. Anyway when they were telling the little 12-year-old that she'd passed away, they said "you could have saved her if you'd rung earlier"! It crushed him. Since then he's been in and out of places like the Priory ever since, all because of that one line. What a disgusting ****ing thing to say to a kid in that state.
