Moyes is so far up his own hoop since joining utd. Comparing himself to Ferguson and Wenger. FOOTBALL More from Manchester United manager David Moyes: "I am great advocate of managers. I want managers to be given opportunities. I am involved with the League Managers Association. We are saying the best clubs have stability. "Look at Arsene Wenger, the stability he has given Arsenal. Sir Alex at United and even myself at Everton. Those who have given the managers that period of time have benefited."
He's getting that in now, in case he has another couple of dodgy results over Xmas & they start calling for his head. He's 2 or 3 bad games away from the chop imo.
Yeah its weird, want them to struggle but dont want him to lose his job, few draws should satisfy both my needs
You reckon, hope you're right tobes, he hasn't got earned any bragging rights and he shat on Everton so good luck with your prediction.
If they're not in the mix for top 4 post the Xmas calendar, then it'd be highly likely to affect their share price & I'd be amazed if he managed to ride it out.
The mancs on this site calculate that it won't affect them to miss out on CL football for a couple of seasons financially, but their surnames ain't Glazer.
Hmmm, not sure on that at all. We had debts just as they have debts now but we had the CL to keep everything smooth. We went out and we just couldn't afford it all. Will certainly be interesting that is for sure and if they get a war chest after missing out and buy big players, fair do's. But if what we think happens and they have to sell to buy like we had to, it could be a good indication of where they are at financially and if that debt is starting to loom.
Not really. They've got the Spammers at home & then Hull & Norwich away. Toughest fixture is at home to Spuds on New Years day (the Stoke game is the Mickey Mouse cup btw)
They're deluding themselves. United falling out of the CL would be a disaster for them. Not only the direct loss of revenue, but their worldwide fanbase is by it's very nature - as fickle as ****. The CL gives them world wide exposure & that then translates into 'fans' who buy merchandise etc. Not being part of that gravy train would constitute total failure to the Glazers imo.
