The "Rebrand" has made many take their eye off the ball here. Tan would be a hero if it wasn't for that, so put that to one side for the moment and look at whats important in this issue. The amount we have spent out(Tan money) isn't good value for the return we are getting on those buys. It was a bit of a shock to hear MM say that Corny is "One for the future" ? And where is Brayford? To all intents and purposes, at this moment there is a few millions quids worth of players we haven't even used yet, so why should we be needing to buy more? If someone has spent that kind of money on players not being used would you throw him another few million? I'm not sure I would, however much I had. For our first season in the PL we absolutely needed players that could do the job in hand, NOW, not sometime in the future. I really like MM as our manager, he has done a great job as far as getting us here is concerned, but these blunders of signings has to rest with him(assuming Corny isn't ready for PL). But this smacks of inhouse politics to me, Mehmet Dalman already said everything that needed to be said in regards to any January signings, no need for MM to give any more on the subject. Lots of jobs up for grabs, but who is looking for a change, Tan or Malky? Of some interest is this link. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/the-hairdryer/cardiff-angry-malky-mackay-081225187.html
This is all over the media now including BBC and Talksport. The relationship between owner and his subordinates in the club management and Malky has clearly broken down. I have been of the belief that Malky would ride this through until now. I can't see he has anywhere to go nw - within CCFC. In fact, in terms of bluff and double bluff, perhaps he engineered this in view of the likely vacancies at West Ham and Norwich. The BFS could have the push this week if rudderless Spurs knock the Spammers out of the Capital One Cup tomorrow. The one factor in this I really don't get or like is Simon Lim. A VT employee who must have had direct involvement in previous transfers as CEO and VT's day to day voice on the board. It appears he is a teflon character with no blame (externally anyway) for whatever went wrong with Moody and the transfer budget. He now is VT's mouthpiece in the apparent dis-satisfaction with Malky's statement. Malky must now be joint favourite with Allardyce for the chop. This managerial merryground is spining out of control.
I'm a big fan of Malky's but if he goes we will carry on, managers come and go. If Tan goes that's a different problem, those who want to play in blue in the conference league might have their way. Cardiff can't take the Swansea way out, things have changed look at Rangers or Portsmouth.
^^^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^^^ Malky seem to be running a crèche not a football club we have all these players (Corny, Harris, Mason, Ralls) who are for the future ?? Well im hoping the future is about to become the here and now and if that means without Malky so be it.
Cornelius should be ready now not in the future. Is Cornelius an even more expensive Velonijka? at Watford he brought youngsters through, was this more necessity than design? It appears so, how many youngster has he played regularly under Malky? We know it took Kim a little while to settle but at £2 million it was acceptable (to a point) Caulker cost £8 million and he starts every game, when fit, and shows his worth as does Medel even though he cost £11 million. Cornelius is fit but getting no game time, why?
True Taff. I though the last 20 minutes last Saturday was made for him. In fact he was warming up for the last 30!!!
I am begining to wonder if Malky is trying to get sacked. He knows VT better than us and what he must be capable of doing. I would be surprised if Malky did not know there wasn't money available especially after the Moody saga.
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/authors/jon-doel/ Has this reporter (can I say that?) got anything good to report for Cardiff City ? Think he needs to still to EGG chasing.
Well, it seems he wont be pushed then. I suspect he'll go when he's ready or expects a punch in the wallet for walking maybe? http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cardiff-city-manager-malky-mackay-6413799
Can you think of any good NEWS at the moment. This story IS the news at the moment, and WOL (Like may I say Sky sports, BBc, The independant, The Guardian & just about evey other agency) are merely reporting. Nothing to do with
they could start by saying what a great win we had this weekend>>>>>>or how much money the cities football team is making for business in the capital. hows that for starters...........
it's "the city's" dear boy, funny you think you're hard done by with the press and we think the same the same , it could be possible nobody likes either of us
Nothing sells papers like controversy. Tan's (through Lim) statement is like manna for heaven for the media, and they use it well - it's what they're there for. Whether individuals at the WOL organisation have an agenda is not the point. It will be sensationalised and ramped up to generate interest for their own ends. Personally, I think Malky will be gone long before the end of the season one way or another. His effectiveness as a manager has been blown wide open and the plaudits ringing in his ears this past 18 months have already turned sour. Some might see his impending departure as spelling disaster for the club tablewise and ultimately end of season relegation, but I don't think so. The only problem in attracting the right manager might be the fact that Tan owns the club and is perceived to be the bigger part of the problem. However, it needs also to be seen that we are (currently) a Premier League club, and that will be the pull for some quality candidates should the axe fall.
Only you John and Dai , never mind , I hear Bellers is in the frame for the vacant chair ,how well would he do , he knows the PL more than most and could bring a fresh feel to the side , trouble is he may be a bit gung ho in his approach and although not naive playing wise certainly at man management Note: - I've taken the copied post out. Sparkey
You could be right BMJ but Bellers has no managerial experience and it would be a total gamble to give him the job. Also, if VT or his mouthpiece, Lim, were to give Bellers a hard time for any reason I couldn't see Bellers being quite so diplomatic in his response. He would be looking for his golf bag in double quick time.
Only watching Bellamys persona on the box I can't imagine him taking s***e from anyone but he's back at the club and I could imagine it may be dream of his one day to manger his home club. Probably not the right time if he wants to make a name for him self but he did and managed to make a success of it , maintaining PL status I would imagine there'd be a statue erected in Roath park,
