I think it's highest finish... I'm a bit confused because I have the Valencia rules spinning around in my head. I'll check the OP when I'm sober.
Genji: I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you upon one of the most creative and potentially unifying threads I have ever seen in a forum. This is a lot of fun and many people are chilling out as a result of having some random allegiance picked on their behalf. It is a stroke of Genjiusâ¦
I agree, every time I saw Glock I was urging him on. Its such a simple, yet brilliant idea which I see you putting lots of effort into
Thank you, cosicave. That was the whole point, of course, and I hope forum members will stick with us through the next few races as we iron out the rules. I have to say, the original idea might have been mine but all three of our mods have moderated the idea to try to make it interesting and workable, and our forum members' ideas have also been adopted, as you'll see in Valencia.
After the Canadian GP the provisional results are... Drivers (50 points): Tier 1: DHCanary (Button) Yeehah! Tier 2: Max Whiplash (Petrov) Tier 3: Paco Ramirez (Barrichello) Teams (50 points): Tier 1: Absolutely Glorious & Julius Caesar (McLaren) Tier 2: cosicave & Fred (Renault) Tier 3: Forza Ferrari & Max Whiplash (Williams) Bogey Choices: Session Stopped: Mifune (I dunno, say 30 or something?) Anyone But Vettel: Mifune (10 points) Is It Cos I's Black? (nil points)
Oh great, a double for me then! I was quietly hopeful when I saw what I'd drawn. Yes, I agree with the others, great idea of yours genji, I'm really enjoying it!
Thanks, Max. OK then - the winners for qualifying and the race have been announced. All that remains is for the mods to dish out the points and me to let you all know that the sweepstakes for the European GP will be open at: 6pm on Friday, 17 June.
Nice one Genji, I like this game, this forum is coming along quite well, I remember when there were only about 7 people here in January lol
how can renault be in the same tier as Torro Rosso, Sauber and force india? they have mediocre drivers but still have more points than the rest of their tier put together. some changing around of the tiers and grouping system is needed I think, as kobay and Alguesuari both had far better drives than Petrov.
There wasn't anybody here at all apart from me till January 23rdish lol, i remember you turning up though, Forza F, lampshade, DH, El Bando and Glorious- the rest seemed to be wums and Lewis WDC's split personalities!
When they've been given out go to your profile and click the Experience tab. A little way down, under 'Points', there'll be an entry for 'I Know The Score' points. Miggins - don't worry about it. It's just a game.
Dear Mr Bando, I havent recieved my points. I feel bad and may go into depression. That is all. Genji, could you keep a list of all the scores in the OP so people know whose winning Love you all, Fred
It appears I joined on 28 Jan - but cannot remember what was going on then - probably a conversation I picked up on McL exhaust ideas. edit - seems I was on the Arsenal footie board and gave up 'cos of the abuse. Much later I noticed some of you guys on here - the rest is history.
You mean like a league table? I could, I suppose, but a sweepstakes is a bit random I think. It's not like people are picking their own drivers and teams and comparing how good their predictions are. Does anyone else want me to do this?
As it's completely random, I can't really see the benefit of keeping a league table of posters, maybe a table of which driver/team won the points might work, but I think we should probably leave it a few races, as the format might need tweaking again in the wake of all the new users we've had over the weekend.
