To be honest, at least its a bit of variety instead of the 50 Gervinho articles we had everytime someone tweeted something.

  2. I know it's off topic, but do you really expect me to post this on the general chat forum? With the type of people on there, no thanks.

Honestly, I would ... never looked at the last two ... and my views on the sexy poll have been extremely low and think I can honestly say I looked for the first time in months the other day out of interest if it was still going

Nobody expects you to post it on here either. Why discuss family matters with strangers?

Well I think you're one of the few who thinks that.

We'd lose all our guests if we removed the sexy poll!

Although this forum has some historic threads and some great users, the amount of off-topic tripe is getting beyond a joke and needs to be controlled

Yeah but the season's finished! There's only so much transfer rumour bullshit we can discuss. How many times have we had Gervinho threads, Ba threads, Sturridge threads, Gamiero threads and ****ing do we need Barton and Nolan threads! During international breaks we had stupid amounts of top 5 threads, they were all off topic but there is nothing wrong with that. If you think something is too off topic for you then don't ****ing read it. If we were sticking to unique football threads over the summer this forum would be dead.

I dont see why he cant post it on here, I wasnt going to post mine at all on here but had to tell cypress at the time as i had about 5 banners to do, and obviously couldnt do them, he sort of urged me to tell it though, and tbh, it was a load off my shoulders and i got some really nice replies, and PMs.

Yes it may be a football forum, but it does get rather boring just talking about it all the time, its nice to have a change of pace, if you dont want to read it, then dont read it, no one is forcing you to.

@ HMT I hope your mam is fine, and everything works out great

PS: cheers for the replies lads, we may not get on most of the time, but sometimes there are things more important than football (until the season starts anyway lol)

Tash man you're acting like someone close to you has died. Your mam hurt her back, and I know she was in a lot of pain, but it could have been so much worse it's unreal.

Trying to get sympathy for this and coming out with some of the things you've said ("thanks for the sympathy", "my heads all over the place" and so on). Just look at what blackcatsteve has been through only very recently. Put it into comparison, and threads like this one sort of take the piss a bit.

Just... try and be cool man.

  18. Even though what i've gone through tonight was really upsetting to me, it really sounds like picnic to what you went through mate, that sounds terrible.

Hope that you and your missus are well and that you have a healthy baby boy or girl in the future.

Actually, I know the tone of my initial response might contrast slightly to what I'm about to say but I know EXACTLY how HMT feels. Just before Christmas last year our lass was out in Sunderland on her work night out and she slipped on a wet floor, blacking out and cutting her face open. Luckily I was home and her mate called me, about midnight it was, so I rushed to the hospital via taxi and even when I got there all I could feel was a sort of mild shock. Even when the doctor stitched her eye up I felt sick but I just felt sorry for her, I wasn't really upset or gutted, just shocked. I think I had to show a brave face so my reaction wouldn't upset her so maybe that's why. Strange feeling though but I guess I really felt it wouldn't change anything so I felt as though it was up to me to "man up" and look after the poor sod.

She's fine btw but we're trying to sue the negligent bastards for all we can. Her friends had previously complained at the bar that the floor was wet but no one cleaned it up but after the accident they all rushed to mop and dry the floor. ****ers.
