Morning Peeps, Is it me, or has the complete mood changed about Leeds Utd in the past few months. A new takeover, a new big name sponsor, money to spend in January, and players wanting to play for us.... Anybody else feel the same way? Leeds Utd are in talks to bring Max Gradel back to ER, according to the YEP. we opened discussions about a deal to re-sign Gradel from St Etienne next month, the second approach we made them for our popular ex-winger in the space of a year. The board at Leeds enquired about Gradelâs availability during the last January transfer window, but with no money to spend, it was non, non, non.....
Definitely and good morning all. I'd welcome Max back providing he's fully fit and at least as good as when he left. Great though to be talking bout players that cost money and we can actually sign. First time in probably ten years
Time to go to sleep here, just after midnight, I look forward to reading all that is new here in about 9 hours.
Morning all. This is depressing. Nothing to moan about. Even the other site had at least one cheerful post. Sack the Board. Bring back Colin I say. Restore the Bah Humbug who gives a toss about Cliffmas feeling!!! And then again, maybe not. I'll believe Gradel returning when it happens. He would also cover both the areas we need - a forward and a winger. His arrival would also mean that BMD wouldn't necessarily have to change the shape of the side. 352 is working, so why change it this season? All in all and remembering that we still have Burnley, QPR, Leicester et al to play, all is good in the MOT world at the moment.
Boggers morning all Boggers we need another string to our bow as we could be predictable with just the one formation. We need at least one speedy, tricky winger and I would still love us to have another striker who will make it in the prem as Ross cannot be relied upon every game, and nor should he be. Smith is working well, young Dom is an option but a work in progress and we've still to give Hunt another chance? It is however a true reflection when we don't have stuff to moan about. All seems good and progressing in the right direction even though its 8-years too late. I think we should 'out' all the Bates supporters who told us we were idiots who knew nothing about business and to leave bates the saviour alone. Come on you know who you are, admit it you were hoodwinked
Andy Flowers from Enterprise insurance seems to be one of the consortium. Good if true hes been involved a long time and knows the situation
This is why I want us to look at Wells so badly. He can play out quite effectively and will only improve. Then we have Byram and Ariyibi (or whatever his name is) if he is ready that is that can play out wide also. I would like us to sign a winger but I feel a striker is a bigger priority, one that has the potential to not only get us to the prem but play in the prem as well. I liked Blackstock but he didn't really have that in him.
Isn't he Zimbabwian??? Hope the board don;t get confused between the English pound and the Zimbabwian dollar
I have heard from a few sources that Leeds have been granted planning permission (not recently) for a 50,000 all seater. I do not know if its a new site, or works can be done at Elland Road to develop. Apparantly this option is open for 10 years Any ideas?
Pretty sure this was when we (England) applied for the world cup and as part of that a few of the stadiums selected would've had upgrades done to it and ours included. Although this could be a different thing as that was a while ago
I like Nahki Wells but I'd really rather we look at offloading some of our forwards before bringing in yet another one. Hunt deserves another chance in the new formation, Smith has done remarkably well, and Poleon needs game time to improve. Varney needs to leave, and Diouf doesn't look like playing anytime soon, so when those two go perhaps we can look at bringing in another forward. I'd say the goalkeeper position is a bigger priority for me, Kenny's a great shot stopper but I fear he'll lose us points with his vulnerability on crosses.
