Hands up - any of you getting an extra £300 a day for just arriving at work ?

I'm not so sure that he has done nothing wrong - more like that he's done NOTHING for his money

Well, he's done nothing wrong in a legal sense, but he's obviously just milking the system. You'd have thought ****s like him, who were jailed over the expenses scandal, would wind their neck in, but it takes a special kind of **** to be an MP.

They'll continuously get away with things like this because, whilst normal people like us are aghast and offended, we don't give enough of a **** to do anything other than moan about it on a forum, simply because - I assume - we have far more important things in our own lives to deal with, like putting petrol in the car, skiving at work and looking forward to the next big **** we can take <ok>

He's sulking because he is a former peer - been thrown off the gravy boat .

He claimed he needed the money to buy food and pay his electricity bill ! ( what £300 EVERY day ? ) He might do alright as a comedian.

You ****s are just jealous. Admit it, you'd be doing the same if you could.

It is only £5,700 ffs and if the rules say he can collect £300 a day then why shouldn't he? If I was him, I would be going in every ****ing day as I'm sure you lot would be too.

For the reply to the question, I refer the right honourable gentleman to his avatar. ( now give me £300 )

I'm not too sure if I can greatly admire the chaps admission - bit late now that he's spent my money.

Of course - as always i think most people are not knocking the individuals but rather the system that allows it.

Thing is, if something annoys me like the expenses etc then I pretty much always think, "That's bang out of order", before concluding, "But some other **** will complain about it on my behalf so I best finish this **** before she's home".

Folk who create petitions, write to their MP and give interviews on ITN pretending to be shocked and outraged, are just morons.

Except Jono, who is a ****ing chieftain <ok>

    Don't forget there's 650 MPs.
That's £ 195,000 per day ( pro rata £ 71,175,000 annum ) - for technically doing nothing other than clocking in and out again in a blink.

    (not Neil Lennon maths)

I thought this was about members of the house of lords as opposed to MPs who have a set salary.

Correct Dan, or at least I got the impression it was to do with the House of Lords also.

If we're both in agreement then it's more than likely we're wrong!

Pffft, at British Steel we used to clock in on a Friday/Saturday night shift and bugger off out to the pub till closing time.

    Good times.
