Sakho could be in there. Plus, aside from different levels of hype, is Townsend actually doing any better this season than Sterling as a young pacey winger?

Not sure why people rate Townsend so highly...he's a one trick pony; run fast, cut inside, shoot from 30yards and hope it soars in. If not, chance wasted. He mostly misses. He's like Bale of three years ago with 5 wonder games a season and **** all else. Maybe he'll keep progressing, but he wouldn't be picked ahead of Sterling (recent form), Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge or Henderson right now.
That is what is asked of him and does it very well. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the left as a true winger, let's see if he can deliver a ball. He'd improve us IMO.
Surely the more interesting debate would be, what players of theirs shall we bid on in Jan! New manager wants to bring in his own players while shifting those that don't suit his style.
I'd take Lamela. His lack of proper game time/offensive tactics is holding him back. He's a gem of a player and once he starts to click he could be their new get out of jail free card.
I'd go with with this. AVB must be crazy playing the players he did before Lamela, it's the equivalent of playing Sterling when you have Ronaldo in the squad (well not quite but you get my drift). Saying that I wouldn't want to pay anymore than 15-20mil.
Keeper, hugo loris is a fantastic keeper who is close to reina.. sorry but mingolet aint in his league. RB - Johnson I would pick this guy over walker right now. RCB - Toure all day. LCB - Vertonghen or Sahko? both are very good players. LB - Enrique, probably. DM - Sandro? HMMM not so sure. I fancy henderson in this role too CM - Henderson CM - Eriksen. AVB's held him back, fabulous player RF - Townshend really doing well. LF - Coutinho FR - Suarez its all opinion, i'd stick in sturridge on another day and pualinho...
Lloris Johnson - Vertonghen - Sakho - Ekotto Gerrard - Sandro Townsend - Eriksen - Coutinho Suarez Johnson and Sandra are the best of a poor selection. I moan about Gerrard but there still aren't many better than him when in possession. I rated Ekotto as the second best LB in the league (behind A.Cole) only eighteen months ago, no idea why he's not playing ATM as he is definitely their best LB. I rate Enrique very highly too!
