There's quite a few manager jobs up for grabs. Would they fancy Steve Bruce ? His record is pretty good. I'm thinking, if i was a Wet Spammer, Wet Brum ect... Spurs ? Sb's done a superb job with us on a shoestring budget. Manure anyone ?
Apart from his Norwich days I think the furthest south he has ever worked is Birmingham, so hopefully the location of some of the teams mentioned will put him off
Bruce operates best at unfashionable clubs (Birmingham, Wigan, Hull) Didn't Bruce manage Palace briefly?
Wouldn't surprise me too much if West Brom had a look at him, I guess from his pov it depends how much further he thinks he can take us and how unsettled the club is behind the scenes (if at all)
Personally think if a half decent club showed some interest, he'd scarper. And could you blame him? I desperately hope not, but we are a freak.
I could see why he might be interested with all the uproar, but he seems a bit more mature and if he has realised that if he sticks with a club it will help in the long term get a better job. Stay here keep us up it will enhance his reputation hugely and put him a position for an Everton kind of club rather than a WBA one. I think he has a good chance here as AA will get him a striker or two in January which is what he needs to take us to safety, then in the summer he may not spend but we wouldn't need to spend a fortune we could just build on what we have. As Meyler, Chester, Bruce(maybe), Elmo(last few games), Rosie, Macca, Quinn, Brady, have all stepped up for me over the last few weeks and at least shown they can handle themselves in the Premier League
Erm..... no I wouldn't. I've always thought McLaren was a good manager who got the England job at exactly the wrong time. He's been good virtually everywhere else except Forest. The moment he joined Derby I put money on them going up. I think he'll do it. So there. Don't make stupid assumptions please Andy.
He's done less than **** all since Middlesbrough and he didn't pull up many trees there (bar a half decent Europe run) considering the amount of money he spent.
