some of them appear to be laughing at themselves. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...-adebayor-assou-ekotto-pose-for-picture-after
and all the while those dozy Spuds idolise the man that has overseen them make such a **** up of everything Long live Levy
I think they might go for Steve Clarke. I know WBA weren't great in 2013, but he's a quality manager. It fits that they'd sack AVB right after Clarke became available. Though, like many are saying, they might go for another Europa league-level foreign manager who's unproven in this league. That would probably be the funnier option. They won't get Simeone though because he's managing a CL club that's 10x better than Spurs.
The only remotely possible one is Capello. Actually, even that's not possible because Capello is taking Russia to the World Cup next year.
Capello is managing Russia at the WC and has been with them a while now so i can't see him dropping out just before the WC to manage spurs. Plus he gets paid a fortune and has done for years, could spurs afford him?
Small time club with ambitions that far outweigh what they are really capable of. Flirted with the CL once a few seasons back and believe they should there each year. That managerial role really is a poisoned chalice, and logic would dictate they go for a safe experienced head this time round but who is available? As for AVB, his premier league outing is most likely well and truly over.
Spot on Who would want to work for Levy ? knowing that he'll sack you if you don't get top four this season. The spuds board have said that top four is a minimum achievement because they thought that throwing over hundred million at the problem would fix it. Dumb spuds, long may it last
Does anyone feel that this is the end of AVB's time in England? I can't conceivably see him managing here again, given his two disastrous experiences with Chelsea and Sp*rs. I think he'll go back to Portugal and find a job there. Needs more experience.
He cannot be a totally bad manager as he did win things with Porto. Perhaps a spell at somewhere like Watford would do him and his reputation some good.
