DJ Campbell has allegedly released a statement : "I'm 100% innocent and hoping to play in our 2-2 draw at Millwall on Saturday"
So annoyed. Apparently last night was the Portsmouth Ladies Christmas party but it seems despite running their Facebook page (and recently their Twitter page too) I wasn't even invited. Even though I've helped raise the profile of the team quite a bit I think (they didn't even have a Facebook page last year), even though I've have posted live match-updates on Facebook and Twitter so people can actually see what's going on, even though I've put my own money in on several occasions in order to purchase paid advertising on Facebook to increase the reach, even though it takes me the best part of 2 hours to get to a game, etc, etc, but are they appreciative? Like **** are they. Was gonna go to the southcoast derby (at Brighton, the Withdean to be precise) but disinclined now.
Well, it's not just women. Plenty of men attended the party too, but I only found out yesterday that it was taking place last night but it's such a horrible feeling knowing everyone else is out having fun while you've been excluded from it. It's like high school all over again. I've never really felt part of the team, but I've never felt less part of the team than I did last night. So suddenly I'm not sure I can find the motivation to put the time, effort and money in (hence why I didn't bother posting anything today) and while I was quite looking forward to the Brighton game, now I can't be arsed to travel all that way. Maybe that feeling will pass once the disappointment passes.
Two more managerial sackings in the Premier League - Steve Clarke at West Brom, and Andre Villas-Boas at Spurs. They have mentioned Glenn Hoddle for the White Hart Lane position, and I reckon he would do a good job for them - as long as he leaves his strange religious beliefs out of it
Actually meowth, I was thinking the same thing myself - I hope he is ok Same thing with SB3, appears to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
See Gianfranco Zola has resigned from Watford - managers appear to be dropping like flies. It's the "silly season".
Time for the Pompey Calendar Challenge. How many of those players do you think will be there at the end of next year? please log in to view this image
There's nothing wrong with cheese based jokes, Pie - unless of course you have a "cheese phobia", in which case my sincere apologies to you and yours
