0-5 and the manager.
Not a bad days work!
All it demonstrates is that the 0-5 flattered 'Pool. Had we had a decent manager in charge we would have won that match.

Liverpool played well and Spurs were dreadful but the referee`s pro Liverpool performance also contributed to this result, Spurs were given nothing all afternoon.... 2 penalties denied, every 50/50 foul went the Mousers way, countless free kicks given against and not received and the referees decision making in key moments gave Pool momentum, which they took full advantage of.
The first goal of a game is crucial and can change the dynamic of a game, had Spurs been given a penalty for a blatant shirt pull at 0-0 it may have been a different match, but once Pool scored there only looked like one winner, and the referees decision making did not make it easy for Spurs to wrestle momentum back.
That does not excuse the awful display from Spurs though and any team relying on the slow and clumsy Dawson, the inept Naughton and a CM playing at the back was asking for trouble against quick footed attackers.
This result may well have done Spurs a favour, AVB has now gone, and the new manager will arrive at a team still very much with plenty to play for, still in the mix for top 4, in the QF of the league cup and still in the EL and FA cup.
The season has a long way to go, a couple of heavy defeats doesnt make a season, onwards and upwards with a new manager I say.

walker is part of your back 4 isn't he? and dawson plays loads too... is vertonghen the creative spark you needed to get a shot on target?
No, Vertonghen is one of our back four. And he didn't play. Nor did Danny Rose. Instead we played a midfielder at centre back, and our second-choice right back at left back.
That's not our first choice back four. It can be argued that Dawson only plays because Kaboul's perpetually injured, too.
no studge or gerrard or Enrique, ifs,buts,maybes..... blah blah all I hear is "we got whooped at home 5-0 and can't take it like men"![]()
No Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose or Chiriches
Sandro playing with an injury
Dembele playing when he needed a rest
The squad was depleted, and that's before AVB picked an illogical starting xi from the players he had left. Any mature adult can see we shot ourselves in the foot (with an AK47) before kick-off, and that's before factoring in the whispers of AVB losing the dressing room several weeks ago.

No Sturridge, Gerrard, Enrique or Cissokho.
Henderson playing with an injury yet ran rings around your midfield and we played our 4th choice RB at LB.
Still won 5-0 and that scoreline flattered you.
Come on HBIC we got smashed on Sunday, lets not make excuses for who was or wasn't playing it makes us look really bitter.
I'm not making excuses, I'm pointing out that you can only beat who is in front of you - and we the team we put out was one step above putting training cones on the pitch.
...apologies to the training cones for comparing them to Kyle Naughton.
and they aren't very good ones. Your lot took one hell of a beating
