AVB has left, with our game against them possibly having the new manager effect, great!

Ameobi has just said that if Newcastle finish above Saints they will have had a good season.

Apparently his OPTA stats were quite impressive. Haven't got a link, perhaps someone can enlighten us?

I've always liked the guardian's coverage, and the football weekly podcast is excellent.

Predictions are a mug's game, but they seem to have as much right as wrong there, not sure quite what you're referring to?

Edit: In fact I can't find any reference to a team of the week on their website, anyone got a link?

Spurs to win the league, Ben Arfa to be player of the season, Di Canio to get Sunderland into the top ten, Saints to be in a relegation battle, Anelka signing of the season. Either these predictions were made with the purpose of being intentionally controversial, or the people making them are fools.

Garth went for Pantillimon which was quite weird. I still don't think he is much good.
