Morning All, I know it is only Monday but I am so excited about this coming Saturday, I thought I would stir up your enthusiasm too. Leicester had the home advantage against Burnley and could only manage a draw. They come to Loftus Road as firm second favourites according to the bookies and after playing Man City tomorrow. All great news for us. I am expecting a cracking game and I urge the 12th man to get ready to add our support. There is no place for complacency. Leicester, too, know what is at stake and will be coming looking for the win. Burnley are at home to Blackpool who, as we found out for 60 mins, are a decent side with goal scoring threats in their squad. As if all of that were not exciting enough, it is the winter solstice (nearly the shortest number of daylight hours) so it's all down hill from then towards Spring! COYRsssssss!!!
Blackpool are imploding under Ince. Burnley will certainly be in my coupon. Can't say I'm terribly excited for Saturday any more than I would be any other Saturday. More excited for Forest and Watford away.
Am loving your enthusiasm RTID, let's hope the team can keep up the same level of performance as the last 30 last Saturday and we'll be heading into Christmas with a healthy gap from Leicester COYRsss
Expect the Foxes to have a right go. Nugent is dangerous IMO ... will need to at last step up a gear plus the crowd need to start as they haven't yet this season
Need to play the whole 90 minutes on saturday the same way as we played the last 30 minutes at Blackpool....that was some of the best football we have played all season.....
Me too mate. If I make it - the move to an early kick off makes getting there before half time pretty exciting as well!
That is absolutely the key. You will notice that my enthusiasm did not stretch to stating we are 'going to win, thrash them' etc. If we play anything other than top quality QPR footie, we will be punished. Still excited though!!
We will be several goals down if we play the 1st hour like we did against blackpool. It all depends on which team turns up.
We have shown in the past when the big games arrive at Loftus Rd we are ready and able to put in a complete performance. Home to Cardiff and Swansea back in 2010/11 when we last went up are examples of us being up for it against our most dangerous opponents. I could have added the Norwich game but for the sending off. It's usually the games against the so called minnows that come and shut up shop that we find it hard to break through and become frustrated.
I am daring to hope that you are right. Those two games are great memories and perhaps subconsciously that is what has been stirring. Even more excited now!!
Wasn't it Leicester at home in the promotion season thatIshmael Miller scored a late winner for a 1-0 win followed by a roar that nearly took the roof off. I ended up in the row in front
I remember it well! Saw it in a pub in Oslo with a few QPR. One was so sure we were going up after that game he bought us all Champagne!
