Derby will go up ... good support every home game ... McLaren is a very good manager, look what he accomplished against the odds at FC Twente Enschede ... they may well lose a couple, but they are flying now, playing irresistible football and genuinely look full of desire and belief ... Burnley can go the distance if they have no injuries, and that's their big worry, no backup off the bench ... Leicester can go either way, potential to choke still remains ... Leeds can get into autos for sure, current form suggests it is a real possibility, good signings will go a long way to helping us to push on ... Millwall will barely survive thanks to Morison goals, and we will have him back in our Reserves next season after finding his touch again (thanks)

Notss Forest may have a new manager if the fail to beat us so Billy three in a bed Davies may have to sleep elsewhere.Derby won on Saturday without Hughes so they have some depth so I don't see them slipping up whereas Leicester dont fare well away and have a useless manager anyone who sells Gradel for 100k must be stupid

If I am honest I think a few of our results have flattered us and with the squad as it stands I think we are not in a realistic position, the manager has performed miracles when you look at where we are in the table.

If we were to continue the season without bringing anyone new in I still feel 10th would be a realistic spot for us however...

With the promise of money available in January who knows, let's hope the manager can move fast and secure his targets, that is assuming their parent clubs are willing to sell.

Looking at the remaining December and Jan 1st fixtures we should have a banker home against the bottom team but then two VERY hard away matches followed up by a home game to an inconsistent Blackburn team.

If we are within 3 points of a play off spot after these next 4 league games and the manager brings in a couple of players who are better than what we already have then I will start to be more optimistic about where we can finish this season.

Either way a big thumbs up to the manager so far in what he has achieved.

Completely agree, people are getting far too carried away. If McCormack suffers an injury we're in serious trouble. The squad is slowly coming together and a few new additions will do nicely, but we're still far off being the finished article.

Beyond impressed with McDermott, especially since the formation switch, but if we were to suffer injuries to key players like McCormack or Austin, I really don't see how we'd adequately replace them. A top 10 finish and a few new signings in January will do me, then we can really press on next season. <ok>

We thought we were doomed when we had no left backs to select from, and Pugh had to be thrown in, and look at what's happened ... I look at this division and I genuinely don't see any team that frightens me ... we can stay in top six for sure, and McD is very good at getting the best from his players ... we are only 9 points off first place, and yet a couple of months ago we were talking about taking 9 points off top six come end of December ... some new signings and another one or two from the Academy and we'll be just fine ... I genuinely believe that we will get a top six finish, and with some luck may even scare the pants off a top two spot ... don't underestimate this manager of ours, the board and our fantastic support ... we are getting momentum right now, and we can launch big time in the New Year ... Derby are similar, and they can go all the way ... don't be surprised if Leicester and QPR don't get auto this season.

I tend to drift between glass half full or completely punctured but agree 100% with your sentiments Billy. Mind you, don't bother checking out Waccoe, there are some seriously depressed individuals on there
