With spurs unable to score thrashed twice recently, AVB's day's are surely numbered. Can't see them calling for Hootun to come and sort them out, as those are some of the problems that we suffer. So who might take over at WHL?

    Bah!

Spur's issue is their play is so slow getting to the box. then when they are there they just try to force it through the centre. Very little width which is strange with Lennon in the team. They look just like us only with far more expensive players! At least we are now mixing it up and starting to get results. Spurs seeem to only win if they get a penalty.

The fact that we have finally figured out where the onion sack is bodes well, our defending doesn't fill me with much confidence though!

Jeez, the silly season has well and truly arrived - just ask Jol, Clarke or now Villas Boas <yikes>

At least our 5-1 mauling at Anfield doesn't look quite so bad after the crash and burn at White Hart Lane yesterday <laugh>

Sorry, checked before starting a new thread, this must have slipped down the list a little.
7th place and still trigger-happy, doesn't augur too well for the rest of the Prem managers outside the top six <yikes>

Yep - just seen on the BBC Football website.

Clarke and AVB gone in quick succession.

    Plenty of this about <yikes>

It's been a funny old season, loads of low scoring games punctuated by a number of severe thrashings. May be its just me having seen City on the end of a few, but can anyone remember a season of such extremes? the best are getting better granted but its not just us lowly have nots being smashed.

    Bah!

Hughton is now the 7th longest serving manager in the PL. Madness.

Take your pick from Allardyce, Lambert, or our very own Hughton as being the next to go. IMO, Hughton is the least likely to go in the very near future, but if we get some bad results between now and Jan 1st, even DM's patience could be severely tested.

It really isn't just about CH not cutting the Mustard any more, it really is also, lets watch and see which one or two of our rivals completely implode and/or make a complete hash of getting a good replacement and reaction, My money is on WBA but I could really see Sunderland with yet another manager before the end of the season.

    Bah!

Apparently 'arry Redknapp was interviewed at 11:02, and urged Spurs to give AVB time. By 11:05 he was gone!

Another depressing stat: Since Newcastle appointed Pardew in 2010, 31 managers have been sacked in the Prem.

In many ways it shows how important continuity is and sticking with CH will be the right choice.

Despite many not being too happy about CH he is not doing a horrible job. Much better off allowing him to continue building a strong foundation for the team, then maybe in the future if he is struggling to take us forward you look to make a change. I think almost always clubs are very reactive to short term results/ situation, much better if you can to be pro active. If there is an opportunity to improve on what you already have take it (much like Southampton have tried), don't wait until your hand is forced. Very hard to judge I know, but in an ideal world. For the minute CH is doing ok.
