Nothing changed between your comment in March and Barmby beibg sacked. In fact the form picked up significantly after that poor month. You've said in this thread that he wasn't good enough, despite telling others not to come to a conclusion on that until he'd had a summer in charge. Our form got better between those two comments so there's no way you changed your opinion based on the team's performances.
The names that Wba have been linked with so far dont really hit you. Yesterday Martin Jol was the 6/1 fav ffs.
Aha now I think I understand. You think I changed my mind about him purely based on his managerial ability. I didn't. In fact, I wanted him to be good, but in truth, he never really was good enough, but, I didn't see the point in jumping up and down on him for that, he WAS trying his best I'm sure, and considering past managers, he wasn't THAT bad, he was just a little rudderless I think. He certainly deserved a chance, and more than that, deserved our backing as fans, especially given the whole Hull Born, and One of Our Thing. At the time, I didn't think he was that bad, in hindsight, maybe some rose tinted glasses, who knows. Other people did turn on him pretty quickly and I thought that was wrong. I changed my mind about supporting him based mostly on his off field actions and lack of respect he showed to someone who was prepared to give him a chance in the first place. The fact I think it became more and more obvious he was out of his depth really only became apparent later on for me. I did not change my view on him based on just wanting to support/agree with Dr Allam.
