Henderson, Enrique and Suarez were always good prices. It was the others who bombed, but that was offset by the Torres killing. It's only ever been the other teams' fans who've criticised Hendo. Mostly because they're clueless cretins. #sunk
Suarez is worth that alone without mentioning Henderson + Enrique We miss Enrique, he has his bashers but for me hes great going forward and strong in defence. What else can he do? On Hendo I think without Gerrard will do him good, more responsibilty. 40M for Suarez + 16M each for hendo and Enrique is probably about right before the transfer market went mad. Now we are talking probably 80M for Suarez, 25M Hendo, 16M Enrique
No I don't think I would. It's easy to say that yes Suarez is playing amazing but if we went out in the summer and spent that kind of money I'd be very sceptical. Say Henderson is worth £10m and Enrique is worth £8m that means we'd been spending £65m on 1 player! I'd never like us to spend that much money on a player.

Nobody would object if they played like today as soon as they got to the club. The fact that most of that 100 million didn't for us got our manager fired and I'd suspect the 100m spent will get AVB sacked soon too. Although I find the grey area of who bought who for what price yet it's the manager who will/did take the intitial fall in both clubs interesting. So the lesson apparently is owners believe 100+ should buy instant performance.
Top end values for players has changed since back then so it's a poor comparison. The truth was, and is, we spend exceptionaly poorly and while some are doing it now, many haven't and it set us back a couple of years. Old ground Gerrez. Lets move on!
good thing now is that Real and whoever will know he wont be cheap, and our owners will hopefully not be that stupid. bet they are all kicking themselves they didn't get him for £45 mill odd now, or Arsenal not being tits and paying that extra £5 mill and not the 1p extra. has disciplinary problems but ffs his talent on the pitch is ****ing brilliant, and most of his stupidity is down to frustration any way, everything he does gets blown out of proportion any way.
no i don't think this is right thinking. Sorry. The reality is enrique is good but probably still only worth that 6-8mil and we got him cheap as he was on last year of contract. That was a good deal right there Henderson... value at 16mil no matter what i was told when he signed and he's done as expected. He is technically weak the more advanced he gets on the pitch but i feel if he plays deeeper he really is a very good player. His all round display yesterday convinces everyone. Suarez again was a bargain hunt on the last year of contract and with issues. He's only now paying it back... having done some woeful things.. but he is spectacular Bellamy was a good interim fit but nobody should excuse carroll downing and adam EVER. Carroll is on his way to getting allardyce in a big hole.. maybe so is downing. thats still no matter what 55million wasted... why? two things. 1. lost opportunity cost. Had we bought snoogy doogy and arda turan and got CL under kenny thats a huge 30million bonus right there. that 55million should have been deployed to bring in much better players 2. Yes we recouped soming like 25million of it so theres 30mil flushed plus wages etc no matter what. finally coates? he had potential, we all aw it. he's not got the attitude so we must forgive them that signing.
